Shame on Visual Media .....
by Venkat S Lolla on May 06, 2008 07:28 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dominique is absolutely right in saying about the Indian media in neglecting the whole incident which happened in New Delhi. On all the channels we telecast the Harbajhan - Sreesanth slapping incident 24 hours on that day but the media hardly cares for showing the incident which happened at New Delhi. Shame on these channels which are hell bent on making money. We should be greatful to Dominique who had indeed devoted his life to India and had always looked India as his second home.

It is not only media to be blamed! We people are equally responsible!Media or politicians are not social workers or reformers! They will behave you want them to be!
You can see venkat here on this forum only..not even 10 people have posted comments!
Had it been Hindu vs. Muslim,Kar vs.TN,Bihari vs.Raj..or any x-rated news from Bollywood or cricket..5-10-15 pages of rediff would have been filled with comments!
Our folks are too inteligent to handle such issues!

Not only warren anderson and Indian Government is too criminal in this.It has safely deposited the compensation money in the bank without paying to victims.Yes for media,It is not an issue because it happenned 24 years ago where TV itself was a rarity.

Somebody had posted comment on some other news about richs in mumbai that it is middle class which drives the nation and Mumbai!
I say our middle class is a dead lot!Worse than rich class and poorer than lower class!

Dominique is right !!
by Ashish H on May 06, 2008 06:45 PM  Permalink

Dominique is right. most of our media involved in getting spicy coverage as well some politically provoked coverage like raj thackrey etc. They have nothing to do with common people problem n raise them to solve it.But this darker side of our very media ,that they putting little effort in this direction. As i think this should be the primary concern rather than propogating rubbish ideas of corrupted n insane politician who r willing to divide country by regionalism, caste ,creed n culture.
