Why should Maharashtra' culture be wiped out from Biharis mass migration? Why can't Maharashtra keep its culture? Why if somebody openly talk about Maharashtra' culture preservation - he is accused of being a provocateur? I think - the Indian press in control by North Indian and there is a strong bias against non-hindi culture? Prove me wrong. :-)

Well its so strange that these concerns are always raised by political parties when the elections are near or by some struggling regional party wanting to make it big. All over india and around the world due to shrinking globe all the cultural societies are facing a big threat mainly from the western culture. In our country we are not very worried about the growth of english language/western culture because we still are mental prisoners of english raj but worried about so called threat from within India. It would be v interesting to see if Raj indeed wins the election and follows the agenda he has set Pre-polls which his uncle has forgotten/never implemented.

News - that does not make the headline in India - but make healine on bbc news.
Sixty-four local politicians have resigned in the Indian state of Bihar following threats from Maoist rebels.
Last week the Maoists abducted many of them for a few days in a protest against alleged police abuses in the district of Gaya.
The Maoists have a strong presence in Gaya, which is known as the place where the Buddha is said to have gained enlightenment.
The rebels are active in nearly one half of Bihar's 38 districts.
'Faced elimination'
The 64 politicians handed in their notice on Sunday in a ceremony in Gaya, following the release of those who had been kidnapped.
The Maoists told them that if they did not resign, "they would be eliminated".
The Maoists drew up the politicians' resignation letters and ordered them to read them out in public.
The statements also criticised the "government's failure to protect the honour and dignity of local leaders".
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said the incident would be investigated.

Who is destroying maratha culture ? for What ? Raj is misleading everyone. Is bihari stopping u from praying Ganesha, or speaking marathi. But why should outsiders learn your language. Mumbai is not seperate country, it is ruled by constitution of india which apply everywhere. The fact is marathi want reservation in job in name of marathi. because cant compete with outsiders. But guess what if all north indian tata, birla, ambani shut their office here and open in north ?

Sorry, i dint mean to say wrong thing here. All i meant is we can't talk like northy or marathi. We should develop system amicably that work best for Maharashtra and india. Today india is growing not because of northy, southy but beause there are true indians who work day and night for the growth. we should not let Raj poison marathi people saying, your culture is destroyed. Just like muslime leaders say their relegion is being destroyed. Maharatha dont have different culture than other state if u see relegion, festival, culture why whould any one destroy it.

send every body packing from Mumbai and it will become a desert.
Manmohan Singh govt asked every state govts to police the areas by muslim police, where there are muslim pockets. Is Mumbai too a muslim pocket? A muslim Police Commissioner Hasan Gafoor put in Mumbai to show Congressi secualrism. Muslim appeasements and hindu persecution is the brand of Congress secualrism.
Media need to be more responsible. They twists every news to sensitise it. Raj is a mature politician, he calculated his speech. So, what now Congress-NCP govt will do? They must arrest the real criminal Azmi, who asked north Indians to use lathis against Marathis.

For the past 36 years my newspaper agent is a Marathi Manoos called B L Pawar.
He runs a Vada Pao and Tea Stall during the day.
But early in the morning this guy, a very hard working man, uses his stall mainly as a newsvendor's stall where he only employs bhaiyas from UP and Bihar to deliver the papers from house-to-house.
Reason?
"Marathi boys are very lazy. They get up late. And they don't want to work hard. They want only easy money".
Speaks alot about the work ethic of today's Marathi Manooses, doesn't it, Messers Uddhav and Raj Thakeray ?!?

BL Pawar had started his business with Marathi boyz only. later he found that he can do this job with one fourth payment of marathi boy.. so.... If UP and Biharis are hard working then they should have built golden UP and Bihar man.
