Jailed Maha EC Chief out
by Bodh Ramdeo on Mar 29, 2008 05:46 AM  Permalink

The very same same people who go on about corruption are the very same ones who're not averse to doing the same thing were they in the same situation. Given the choice, any Indian would opt for going the corruption route rather than the honorable honest route- there's no personal enrichment in being honorable and honest! Besides, how can they boast of having influence and friends in high places?

To all those that oppose the netas remember this...
by Peter Parker on Mar 28, 2008 09:36 PM  Permalink

Yes neta's are corrupt but so are beaurocrats.
Bearocrats are appointed by "central commands" but neta's are elected by the people. Its far easier to get rid of a neta (dont vote for him) than a corrupt beaurocrat.

NOT SURPRISED
by B Kumar on Mar 28, 2008 03:53 PM  Permalink

It is not surprising to hear about such action by a committee of politicians especially in Congress ruled state.
Congress culture is against honest people. They have forced Kiran Bedi to quit. Hounded Taslima out and now this.
You cannot expect any thing better from them.

All politicals leaders should behind the bar
by ajay gangwar on Mar 28, 2008 02:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

In my opinion all political system is rotten. It is big mockery of justice that a person who is chargesheeted by court may reperesent in legislature or in parliament. He wouuld full oportunity to become head of that agency who has onous to prove it in court that he is culprit. A person who is accused in eye of police administration may be part of government. How one can believe that justice will given to him. No person against him charge are framied by court should not allowed to fight election.

Please dont go by pure media reports. This was a power grab that was going on. The EC wanted to muscle in to the village elections that were traditionally conducted by the Maharashtra government. Instead of working with the state government slowly, this officer tried to bulldoze his way and got whacked by the politicians. In the end the state is run by the politicians and not by "Centrally" appointed beaurocrats.

Yet another uprighy officer has been humiliated for refusing to bow down before the corrupt politicians. not one politician has condemned this. Where is Sonia Gandhi. It is her party which is in power in maharashtra and has done this cheap thing.

Yes !!!!!!!!!!!!
AT last the arrogant and adamant Nandlal has been shown his right place by the asembly. It was very much essential because the suprmacy of the legislative assembly has to restored and expressed explicitely. No person can hold the dignity of the assembly for ransome.

by alok kumar bose on Mar 28, 2008 01:19 PM  Permalink

This is my Bharat Mahan where these politicians without any qualifications make and find their laws punishing intelligent & honest people. They rule every where ! what a shame on literate Indians. This not the only example, there are many like those who have never played cricket or might not know anything about cricket rule BCCI and insult experts like KAPIL DEV.
What to do?
