In the time when they should be in honourable retirement relaxing and contemplating the writing of their memoirs the party drags them around to public functions. Around the world this fascination with perpetual veneration of leaders is on the decline. Why does the Indian left front still hold on to it? Even in Russia they seem to have forgotten all about Lenin's mausoleum.
