Assembly represents common man The People.
arrogant officers should be shown the right way.if Nandlal has some political ambition he should have resigned first ,if was honest, rather than creating TAMASHA.coming days will show him with his new MASTERS or PARTNERS.May be BJP, Third Front or MNS any guess ???

good decision
by Vishy on Mar 28, 2008 01:34 PM  Permalink

Haaaaaay guys dont abuse the assembly, please try to see the bigger picture. A section of media also cried for Mr. Nandlal yesterday without going to the root of the matter.
In democracy each institution has powers - powers to rule, to direct, to correct etc. The rule of law also demands institutions to show respect to each other.
Mr. Nandlal definitely had a point but when assembly commitee asked him to appear in front of it and explain his stand he refused it for 15 months. THAT IS DEFINITELY A DISRESPECT TOWARDS AN ELECTED BODY AND AN INSTITUTION WHICH IS SUPREAME FOR THAT STATE.
While he wanted toteach a lesson to politicians he forgot the oath that he took when he joined IAS - which made it necessary to punish him.
A lot of messeges have been given to politicians by the SC that they aren't above law - it was needed for the buruecracy also. I FEEL ITS THE RIGHT DECISION BY THE STATE ASSEMBLY

Use of Law
by Rohit Singh on Mar 28, 2008 09:29 AM  Permalink

I liked the way government responded against an officer. It was too quick. I am no going to talk about who is wrong who is right.

But will the same government will take some action against the people who stop people to avail the fundamental rights of Constitution of India and making Mumbai an another Country which is being ruled with the concept of, "Tribal law of South Afganistan", no courts required for them thay are delivering justice themselve then & there.

And the "Goons" in media who can attack a working lady (Actress) and his family in front of camera. Even the big gangesters fear to do that in front of Camera.

Will Mr. Deshmukh will do something?

Nandlal-the egoist
by Manali Thomas on Mar 28, 2008 09:22 AM  Permalink

Mr. Nandlal is a honest man. He held the prestige of Election commission by not bowing in front of the committee and accepting the jail term gracefully.

The elected representatives cannot escape from Naladlal's clutches from this jail term. He will surely get back to them in the days to come.

If he had attended the disciplinary committee meeting, it would have taken as his fear for the House, but he took up his challenge and stood his stand.

Well done Sir, we salute you.

Rahul a better PM !!!
by Quacker Oats on Mar 27, 2008 10:36 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There must be proper rules regulations, appeal mechanism to sort out this issue. The civil servant should behave and listen to the legislature.if theres anything wrong he can appeal.Congress is a better choice then all the trash that exist as its alternative.BJP has no place in Maharashtra,Shiv Sena is a Paper tiger,so called third front which is trying to gain foot in Maharashtra is cheap,nepotism-filled,corrupt grouping. Rahul will prove a better PM than all the guys/Gals dreaming to become one ex.Mayawati,Lalu,Mulayam,Jyoti etc etc....
BJP has lost the chance to rule the country.

Why only rahul... mr Quacker i guess.. with YOUR CHOICE choice .. even the gandhi family watchman can be a better defence minister.. rahul's house administrator can be a good home minister ...and all in all i really guess.. with such a big party ... if you need a gandhi to moderate ... and as the only option with out exp. they should not have party ... coz there is no leader other than one .... moreover if that is not enough is there democracy in the largest party in the largest democracy ... think

Mr Quacker, pl enlighten as to what makes you think Rahul is a better choice than ... shivraj patil, sheila dikshit, Murali deora, etc... is it name or exp and quality ??
