Too bad BJp was the alternative
by Samosachat on Apr 08, 2008 04:28 PM  Permalink

Nehruvian congress sucked big time. But unfortunately Advani supported BJP replaced it. Advani is the cause of all the polarisation we are facing today. Instead of BJP we should have had a party like swathanthra party with very intelligent and astute people from business and scholars. That would have done a lot of good for India.

Nehru was the best leader India had. Rahul will be the next best
by Sahadevan KK on Mar 31, 2008 11:03 PM  Permalink

We comrades loved having him as the Indian PM, because our Chou En Lai and Mao Tse Tung were able to totally outwit the poor fellow. Sometimes we even felt sorry for him, such an earnest man, so obviously falling hook, line and sinker for all our bullshit! Now we are hoping his grandson Rahul will become India's PM, because he will be even more useful to China.

Advani blames Nehru for Tibet crisis
by kunuthur srinivas on Mar 31, 2008 03:23 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

LK Advani certainly a second rate politician of India with a clear cut cunning fox culture and that he has no credibility to blame senior non living Prime Minister like Nehru as it is uncharitable to do so. It is a foregone conclusion of the people that minus A B Vajapayee, the BJP is a big ciphor and more so with the exposure of L K Advani as the Prime Ministerial candidate.

Nehruvian policies made us backward and also we have border issues with china and the Kashmir problem. Dont see any issue with criticising him for his faults.

Weakness displayed in Foreign policy - in Congress rule
by RAM CHANDRAN on Mar 26, 2008 03:18 PM  Permalink

When China attacked India in 1962 over the Tibetan issue, Indian leaders failed to anticipate things properly; the result, China acquired nearly 90000 sq miles in Indian territory. Weakness is displayed very clearly. Still Indian leaders ine the centre are behaving like non-vertibrate animals. We have a weak prime minister at the centre who doesn't convey their concerns properly. This is a misery. India needs strong gutsy, leaders.

Blame everyone else
by sajansajan on Mar 26, 2008 11:21 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This guy is the shrewdest politician. Blame Kandahar on Vajpayee, Tibet on Nehru, something else on Sonia. Fact is even with correspondence with Britishers China had never accepted Tibet as independent country and called McMohan line as "unilateral". There are numerous proofs of that. But rather than fall in that debate what did he do as India's home minister when Parliament was attacked? Parked the army in Rajasthan costing the nation crores. He would have had a right to say something if he had attacked Pakistan. Mrs. Gandhi would have surely done so. What did he do when Kandahar happened? His memory of events was even contrary to his prime minister. And for someone who told a judicial commission that he did not remember what happened in Ayodhya on 6th Dec it is quite remarkable that he remembers the smallest of details of where he can blaame others. Atleast noone in Nehru Gandhi family praised Jinnah. He will be first Indian PM hopeful to have done so. It is not for nothing that RSS chief said once Indira was best PM and that too on prime time TV

abe o, in mrs gandhi's times, pakiland was not nuclear. but in advani's time, it was. we cannot just be stupid enough to attack a nuclear state.

parking the army in RJ costing crores to the nation? Well, do you realise that RJ probably has the largest border with pakiland and that being desert, is difficult to patrol and that is where paki jihadis were most likely to come from.

what would you have done on kandahar? it is a two sided coin. if the passengers were killed, a section would have opposed it. now, when passengers are saved, another section is opposing it.

He did not praise jinnah. all he said was that jinnah was secular and that is the truth. in fact, if you think jinnah was not secular, calling him secular cannot be construed as praise then. Think about it.

That is the point. China has not accepted the McMohan line. They should be nuked like Hiroshima if they not respect the McMohan line or any other international community laws. They are acting as superpower in the region. See what they have done in Tibet, Nepal, Arunachal, ......
If no action is taken and China is not nipped in the bud, the entire world will have to pay the price. We can not afford a world war with a lot of nuclear bombs. Its better to nuke China now rather than wait for the war and then nuke them

People,
First of all try to know who Jinnah is.
Don't think him as a terrorist leader.
Any one of you will accept a leader position for a group, no matter whether you are eligible for that or not.
Thats the thing, when Jinnah was offered to lead a new group a new nation he was happy to be a leader.
India Pakistan split is a very tedious & volatile matter..
But the same people who gave jinnah the post began to criticize & gave bad image to him...

After all Nehru is a Politician. Right?

Please understand that Advani ji is a statesman. He has not erred in either the Jinnah remark, or in visiting Sonia on Holi.perhaps most people do not know that Jinnah was not a practising muslim. He was in the Freedom Movement long before Nehru came into the scene. He had nursed a secret ambition of becoming the PM of 'free India', but when Gandhiji preferred Nehru to lead India, he demanded and got a separate land for the muslims. It was Jinnah who said:"You practise your religion and I'll practise mine. The State shall not interfer in the religious affairs of the people." Isn't that a secular statement? Jinnah must have been suffering from cancer then itself, since he died the following year. The Islamists therefore took charge and declared Pakistan as an Islamic Republic.
As for his visit to Sonia's residence, it is a coutesy on Holi day. He had also visited MMS, and presented both of them with a copy each of his book. The 'leaders' of UPA-Left are merely politicians, with all their pettiness,so they did not attend Advaniji's book release function. But Advani ji is a statesman and he conducted himself with dignity. That is what you have to appreciate.

Politics for the sake of politics.

Everyone knows well that singing past glory or weaknesses are nothing but a sign of old age, where the stamina to do something is exhausted.Nothing can be done now in the past becoz it is passed and nipot in hands at present. At hands is present only which is too short.
