As per his confession, she had to be killed as she was blackmailing him after having an affair with him. Since he was no longer interested in her, she had to be killed.
Had the lower court acquitted Mr. Sharma, the media would have asked that who after all had killed Shivani Bhatnagar? The next two suspects in line are the late Pramod Mahajan and Rakesh Bhatnagar. One year before General elections, the last thing the BJP wants is a controversy surrounding the already sullied and controversial name of Pramod Mahajan. If Rakesh Bhatnagar is caught, then too he would take Pramod Mahajan%u2019s name or the higher ranks at RSS/BJP.
6 months back, our defense team had put forward before the court- phone records of direct talks between Pramod Mahajan and Shivani Bhatnagar. This was vital evidence%u2014the Judge refused even to admit this but is now convicting my father on basis of the call records that are blatantly manipulated.

Com'n yaar....wat IPS, IPS you are talking about...don;t you see the politicians every day on the television...just one IPS office caughts and you are people are just going behind hime...wat you knw abt his past ...wat he has done whether bad or good....wat you knw whether this things are being made up by the politicians by themsleves...to save their face ..Sharma is made the scapegoat...just reading and blindly giving your thoughts is not required..think a bit before your write something abt anyone or sometimes try to wrrite abt your ownself...whether you have been right to the society or done anything good rather then blaming others..

The evidence doesnt suggest he was innocent. He going underground for an extended period points in the same direction. He might have got rid of an evil woman; but he still committed the crime. The other politicians (dead and alive) might have had fun with the woman along with Sri RK Sharma but that still doesn't absolve him. Does it?
Sharma was a lesser criminal than Afjal Guru, his punishment was to match with his starture. Since, even Afjal is not going to be hanged, it was difficult for the judge to award capital punishment to Sharma it seems.

Lifer is the punishment for planning a murder. Since he did ot actually murder, he cannot be hanged. It has no relation to Afzal Guru being hanged or not...

Naturally a responsible and powerful person plotting murder should be be given capital punishment .
hi frns i do think he shd have been hanged...being such a profolic person ..ips n still behaved liek a local thug...thxz to judiciary tht he paid 4 his sins but still wished he shd have been hanged
They need only 24 Hrs to come from Jail.. Not 24 Hrs max of few days lot of high profile convicted in murder is currently out and enjoying 5 star life. Our system can't do any ting to fill this gap
As per my opinion killer-Pardeep and R.K.Sharma should be hanged because R.K.Sharma used her and Pardeep killed her.If they hanged then only the person who think to do like this type of act should be aware of this punishment.

Capital punishment is surely a severe punishment, but in my opinion, life sentence is more killing for the criminal. He has to now suffer all his remaining life for his crime, not like death, one shot end of all things.
Life sentence, actually makes the criminal suffer and not their loved ones.

I dont think RK Sharma used Shivani. If you follow the court case, you will know that Ms Bhatnagar was having a relationship with Sharma and was privy to sensitive govt documents pertaining to St Kitts case. She threatened sharma that she will expose him i.e, Blackmail OK. Mind you she was a married woman when she was involved with Sharma. Being ambitious journo, she led a very dangerous life. When people are desparate they are pushed to do things which otherwise they might not do. OK. I am not justifying sharma's actions here, I am saying that Shivani was no saint OK
Why nobody is asking the question of threat given by journalist of exposing some wrong deeds? Why that lady never exposed the wrong doing at first place? she was blackmailing and got her due.

good question raised by you, but simultaneously blackmailing does give give rise to an entitlement to kill a person. If she was really blackmailing, Mr shama would have resorted to leagla means instead of taking law in to his own hands, if the entire story as put forth by prosecution is true.
Order sounds good. Mr, Shastri's orders are well reasoned and therefore, it always very difficult to get his orders vacated by the superior courts. Now Sharma has got his due by way of conviction for the wrongs done by him. All praise to such judges and investigators. Keep it up
