The entire country should express its gratitude to Mr Burney for the efforts that he is putting to get the safe release of Sarabjit Singh. Last time when he succeeded in getting Kashmir Singh released entirely due to his efforts he was interviewed by TIMESNOW TV Editor Arnop and while talking to Burney, Arnop passed some un-palatable comments which made Burney to get annoyed and he showed that he was not quite happy to hear such comments from Arnop and almost switched off the line! So it once again goes to the credit of Burney that he is still trying to get Sarabjit Singh and one hopes that Arnop would not put his foot into his own mouth once again!

I believe we are getting emotional and think that Indians wont commit any mistake...See after Kashmir Singh is released, he confessed that he is a spy...Burney is a good man and if somebody like him try to get a Pakistani out of Indian Jail, we would raise hell a lot of voice and tell that he is a cheater, non patriotic, anti national and all...We need to grow up a bit....With the evidence we arrested Afzal guru, the same kind of evidence MIGHT be with then for Sarabjit and we are asking to release him...DOUBLE STANDARDS..We should not comment on these things if we do not know about the full case.....

Mr. Burney's efforts on the human right issues should open up the eye of not only the leaders of Pakistan but also the so called higher ups in the responsible posts with indifferent attitude in India also. How many innocent citizen are imprisoned on false or for trivial offences for years togather. Neither our human right activists nor the media takes up these issue because these activities don't make a good breaking news. We all as well as our entire system has become a marketable entity which has devoured our senses as well as our integrity and commitment to humanity. At least, these efforts of Mr. Bruney will go a long way to guide our own politicians and burocracy in order to build up a real humaniterian society.
