It is proved that Indians and goans cares & respects only responsible and cultured tourists. Any country on this earth don't care tourists with criminal background / drug addicts who has potential to spoil the mind set of locals.
I support the stand taken by the goa state govt.
India's image has not gone for the toss and goa continued to be hot destination.

stupid your family member may get addicted to drugs tomorrow and die. Those fight against drug no matter who is the victim a foreigner or an indian unite. Our police are shameless police. Police are there to enquire crime or give a lecture on bad mothering or culture? Our police with their criminal mafia culture are least qualified to lecture about good mothering.

why the hell should we depends on tourism. This incident is almost forgotten and reaccurance of similar incidents unavoidable depends on the quality of the tourists.
I have my own fenny factory but unfortunately no license is given by goa govt. Inshallah one day i will get it.

Her comments are slap on the indian system, soceity and democracy but I am sure that this system will remain same.
If this would have happened in the UK with an ordinary indian then justice would have been served without highlighting the case.

Louis think before saying a word about anyone...what do u term as cultured tourists. If these tourists are cultured they will go to Vaishno Devi or Tirupati and not to Goa. It is the free drug and cheap entertainment that has made Goa a tourist destination. Remove drugs from Goa and Goa will be removed from Tourist map. But nevertheless the death of anyone should be a lesson for the police to probe and punish the culprit. It is strongly required that Goa govt. should probe this and bring justice to her.
unfortunately fiona is not an italian, else she would have got justice. the congress govt in goa would have gone to any extent to please sonia gandhi. that's india, they will care more about their persoanl gains rather then justice or long term gains for the country. it was height of insenitiveness to ignore the pleas of a mother and find fault with her rather then pay attention to the greater problem. the day foriegners stop comming to goa, these guys will realise the impact of these cases. god save this country.

Are you insne to bring dirty politics to a sensitive case? The way you want to target Sonia Gnadhi for something which has no relation whatsover to her, you have just shown your prejudice and lack of honesty.
let her spread the wrong things in Goa and also in India to her fellow country men on her return. Let no one Visit Goa or India for a tourism purpose..We Indians are uncultured, un civilized and dont have any manners..

I agree with you. If such things happen in india, then what is there to be proud to be an Indian? Nothing. We take pride to be 5000 years old civilisation. Are we civilised?

at last some one who has the guts to speak out the truth we already know.Indians will always cry discrimination in other countries while they can not even ensure a fair trial for a guest.

Sheetal and you are living in it along with 1 less a billion including us, looks like you have no international knowledge if you had you would not have the mouth to say this as countries like Mexico, Bolivia even USA are worse than us when it comes to the drug mafia, at least this poor lady can speak to the press in our own great country INDIA, in many countries she would be no more by now, so don't shit in the same place you eat. Nazim,Andi and Sheetal, This country is indeed a dumpyard and of course with little immunity that you can talk any kind of bullshit with full freedom....but honestly tell you there are so many Fionas who are not firangs and nobody knows them and are killed by government goons, called police. Yes for sure we are an uncultured, uncivilized and an ungrateful nation where we take freedom for granted we dont care anything about anybody else. Thanks

every time a serious fault in India is exposed,we get the argument that this happens in other countries especially USA.In my perception this is what is keeping India weak and vulnerable to vested manipulations.

Don't pass these blunt statements just for a drugged death ..India is a great country & we will definitley improve one day.
You have taken a right decission mrs fiona. In India you need an eye witness to prove a rape and murder because our great law makers think and believe that a rapist will first find someone to witness the rape before he finds a girl to rape.
Foreigners go to Goa and do drugs...Then whatever happens...They say is local Authority's responsibility. This is not fair. I think Goa Govt should bring in a strict legislation to ban drugs then only Indian & Foreign tourists can enjoy the place.

Harish, you are kid of the first order. Why have kept the police, ministers etc we pay them salaries etc to loot the our tourist who wish to enjoy the beauty of GOA. The Central Government is sleeping. Wake up. Justice is to given at any cost young man to the mother of girl who was murdered. No body is above the law. Harish put your self in her shoes ... You shall have the same treatment when God gives you a chance to go to some fogeign land. Shame on us as Indians!!!!

Looks. Whatever it is you are complaining about the foreigners. Its a kid who got killed. just think about that. How do you know she did drugs? is there an autopsy? I feel silly about your point of view. Did you know that in Kerala when a guy was being interviewed live on TV how he liked our country he was praising while he was doing that his daughter who was 15 her butt was grabbed by a guy.

See the news report tdy in the times...The autopsy is done & she had a taken a cocktail of alcohol & dangerous other two drugs at the same time ...It is fatal & makes a person unconcious & then the person dies..

Nirpinder..when u deal with drugpeddlers..u can't be sure abt them..They are mafias, gundas, ...All antisocial elements.
How can a girl of her age ever think of going so boldly to drug peddlers and dealing with them ?
Whatever happened is unfortunate but precautions hve to be taken ...

It is difficult to say something in response. It would only end up sounding harsh. Goa and Goans are proud of a culture that was brought to India from Portugal. Would the Portugese Government allow the sort of things that go in Goa?

How did you come to this conclusions have you done any research on the subject. Goa live on tourist industry, and days are not far when that industry will die. There will be nothing left for G0a to live on except drugs. By the way do Tourists bring drugs in to Goa of the local mafia supply it to the tourists. get your house in order first Harish Dewangan Tourist industry is worth bullions in Goa.

Sheetal yes they do if you don't know, so much so that there is a place that is called mini Russia, they control drug deals upto a certain level, than there are Israelis who even use children as couriers and recently the very police who are being blamed for A to Z caught this children and a good quantity of drugs were found, different drugs at different level are being done by people of different countries and states, I would not like to waste time with the details as very few Goans are involved in drug trade its mostly controlled by foreign forces hand in glove with the law enforcers. Even the packaged tourist who come on chartered flights have been caught carrying drugs. Sure the very Safed Babus you think are Mr. Clean are the main drug suppliers.
