How can Bihar revive
by Dangerous on Mar 20, 2008 04:46 PM  Permalink

Bihar once the cradle of spirituality and bravery stands nowhere in the modern India. They have been rendered untouchables and unwanted in their own country. The scene is so tragic that even good brains of Bihar refrain to call themselves as Bihari. The state needs to introspect about its fall from grace. Why birthplace of Asoka the great,Chandragupta Maurya,Samudragupta,Chanakya,Mahavir,Gautam Budhha is not able to revive its fate? There is no shoratge of talents in the state but noone of these talents do anything for their own state. They either migrate to some better location for better future prospect or either become part of its misery..To start with Bihar has to change its name first as the very name has become an object of abhorence..It should come up with some better name like Magadh which could reflect its golden era..It needs to improve its law and order and deal severly with all its political goons...Infrastructure needs to be improved if it is serously toying with the idea of attracting some investment..People staying abroad must be careful about thier behaviour as their action is directly propotional to the image of their state..Let the entire India know that they are the most gentleman tribe in the entire country..Their behaviour would give them more acceptance in the society. Dont vote for those who dont work for development

In case the reader is puzzled by the acquittal of Lalooji by an Income Tax Apellate Tribuneal it would be good to keep in mind that one of Lalooji's daughters is married to the son of an Income Tax Commissioner.

rabri - lalu - bihar - made for each other
by Gummadivally MuraliKrishna on Mar 20, 2008 01:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

If at all the court comes to a conclusion that both rabri and lalu have assets disproportionate to their known sources of income then they should be punished. They have used all resources from the government side both at state and centre to avoid punishments so far. the decision of the court to admit the case is a welcome step. CBI is part of central government and lalu being a central minister he must have used his good offices and the congress parties influnce to scuttle the issue or minimise the effect. But law should take its own course of action. He has shown his influence with the centre and the state during his tenure and his joining with congress is to avoid the possible arrest for all his family's misdeeds during their ruling. Fodder scam is a big shame and a sham for the nation and he should be severely punished when found guilty. All his pep talks on management in different universities is nothing but bull shit. One who is corrupt to the core has no businees to talk on management in any forum. It is just a disguise to avoid punishment. The railways has not turned around because of his knowledge or management but because of its employees. What knowledge does he have except shouting at rooftops on opponents. Sickening to see him in parliamnet and in the ministry. Shame on congress to have people like him.

Does only AAM ADMI HAVE TO PAY TAXES
by Ashok Gupta on Mar 20, 2008 01:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is very strange that if an aam admi delays in paying taxes or makes purchases immediately the tax dept.will issue letters and show cause. How is it that some influential people blatantly have accumalated wealth and spend lavishly and no questions are asked by the same tax dept.
Better if act is passed exempting the influential from taxes as pretending to prosecute them is wastage of money. The aam admi is aware and can see these people getting above the law.

yes we are indians but can nothing be done by a peoples movement ? Because wrong is happening we must re-act otherwise it will continue and can only become worse. It has to be a body of lawyers /advocates who rally the people around them and press for transparency - a few of us dont count we are not powerful and the govt.is aware of this and thus keeps dividing us.

The bigger the scam, the bigger is the Minister in UPA govt. which is supported by the corrupt commies (Jyoti Basu, Prakash Karat).

can the country unite and say we will not pay any taxes unless the known evaders are made to pay along with penalty and interest. Cases against politicians are concluded and there is transparency where the tax money is going ?
