What about the killings by muslim rulers during 13 and 14th centuries. They have killed millions of hindus and destroyed thousands of temples in India. By comparision the genocide in Gujarat is negligible. So keep your mouth shut and get out of this country
Every invention and discovery that has been made so far and every invention and discovery that will be made in the future should be attributed to the Indian Numbering System...Albert Einstein
Just Imagine guys what if "the world stops using the numering system"...The entire world will come to a stand still. Newtons third law of motion is synonymous to Principle of Work in Bhagavad Geetha
Even though I am basically broadly secular minded and caring more for the country than caste, creed or religion, I am all for it. This was just needed and needs to be carried over to other states. Forced conversion is wrong and other religions should not object if they are not doing anything wrong. But currently the christian missionaries in the rural and tribal areas are resorting to criminal activities by trying to lure and force locals to get converted.

Why thank you for your appreciation. Yours are equally funny (with the whole khaki-chaddi gag)
It is not controversial. It should be needed in INDIA since independence as India is democratic country. The bill prohibits conversion by use of force, allurement or fraudulent means which is good for any citizen of our country.
In India, governor should be neutral and should not be any political background.

stupid as exactly as your name suggests Mr.ant
even though conversion is sin, many Christians prefer this full-time job just to increase their number and political power...it is now a big business in south India...SIN under Pope leadership happened before, happening now, will continue in future..

Its no sin to convert man. Religion should be by choice, not by birth. Many people don't agree with their own religious ideologies. As a free country, it is only right for India to allow its citizens to convert and choose their religion.

If a person educated enough to understand where he is heading, then it is personal choice, OK. If others attracting the poor through money or exploiting their present status is surely SIN. That sin is practiced under secular cover in India is double Sin. Anyway, conversion agents making good money on their full-time flush-hunting job.

Now, you've got a point. So you are saying conversion is not a sin. The ones trying to convert the people are the sinners. We've been on the same page all the while, buddy.

FACT:: Many churches in west almost deserted. FACT:: In India conversion is multi-million dollar business. FACT:: when(?) Cong gets power in Rajasthan they abolish and make flourish this business. FACT:: SIN of conversion using material and money continuous. FACT simple:: whatever, It is a political number game in the end!

Just because you put FACT:: at the front, doesn't make it a fact. You've got no argument to say conversion is a sin (or SIN in capitals, as you like to call it).

As is obvious from my post, I'm not happy with my religion's ideologies. What some Muslims do, they do. I don't want to be responsible for their actions.
In this present day and age how can you convert anyone at knifepoint or gunpoint? How can you convert by alluring someone? If it is possible to get some materialistic benefits by converting to a different religion, I would be a follower of at least 20 religions at one time. a stupid bill brought about by stupid people who are not secure or sure about the religion they are following.

All such bills can not become law till the President of India approves it. And it is certain as long as madam President is there, such bills cannot get presidential nod. Till then, happy conversion. Already, reservation for muslims and christans are added incentive to convert.

Arre, we are talking about the state assembly. The president has nothing to do there.

Even bills of this nature passed by assemblies are sent for presidential assent. This is constitutional provision. No state can overlook President of India in this matter.
