I am ofcourse in favor of free press and fear free reporting at any time. But I cannot understand why the issue of press censorship by Chinese government was overblown out of proportions by global media. There are thousands of instances where media and news reporting are controlled by an outside agency be it government or other vested interests etc, to finally make 100% free press a myth, and many of these cases are never highlighted, the most being slowly slid under the carpet..
The year 2008 is understandably, very crucial for Chinas long term plan.The media exposure and world prominance brought by the Olympics makes China in the media spotlight. And it becomes natural for the dissenting Tibetans to find this as the most opportune time to riot and arson the holy city of Lhasa. Chinese military police already known for their hard measures then duly supress the dissent. What is unnatural s the way the issue has been highlighted in a way to question the human policy issues of China. Any developed country be it US, France, Germany etc has shown precedent in restricting press at the time of national crisis. So why make big cries over the issue when China does the same out of sheer necessity. I can predict that, in some days China will allow "special" foreign media into Lhasa and make sure that only the desired news is published, and US will laud China over its "open" media policies. This is the way the state machinery works
USA is too entangled in Afganistan and Iraq that they have given up on bigger situation of Iran.
For CHINA, the Americans will not venture there, they need foot soldiers like India for it and Indians are too disunited and too weak to be able to protect themselves from Chinese missile launch (ICBMs). So it is now the SOFT warfare the ghora way, the way the native Americans were wiped out and all you have is their small icons that ghora's wear as fashion.

China hatched nicely a long running plot like a pot boiler and the leaders like Nehru made it very easy. so it all started with Tibet Kashmir and North East. good amount of Indian land is under their occupation. what's more hilarious is these bloody worthless pakis gifted the Chinese a part of PoK. who are they to donate and who is china to take ours? similar problem with North East. and not to forget there is proven naxalite funding from chinese sources.
am not saying India should attack China but point is Chinese are very cunning and scared of India since years. they know very well India would be first country which would checkmate it's global trade and power in the future.
Indian budget should allocate very solidly for a minimum of three - five year plans at $5 billion per year ONLY to boost borders and boundaries and to create many special Army Air and Navy divisions to take care of any Chinese aggression. all we know present preparedness is not good enough.
India should take the help of Russia and Israel to create special Armed devisions like Spetsnaz style super hardened groups and anti Ballistic Missile Defense systems to counter the Chinese army and its nukes. India should also lease more Akula 2 class nuclear submarines fitted with nuclear missiles. these are very much possible. after a period of time we can see China will not dare to eye at India anymore like it did in 1960's. China will behave nicely as it does with Russia.

That's right, dude. How can some one talk evil like that. There can be no one like the Dalai Lama. Solving the Tibetan cause, solves Indian Problems as well at the same time. so, let's support Tibet....
chinese don't care as long they are able to feed all their people, that was their goals to begin. Chinese can preserve their culture better. Only problem is Chinese allow khaar raaheey hein adoption by west. Now west unkheey chinese faces kooha western name dheygaa auura western religion to be used as missile against chinese. vooha same pattern unhooneey Africans and mexicans phaar use khiyaa hein sometime the economic incentives, media/culture corrosion and law make people relinquish their identity over time. Ghoreey chinese sheey shaadeey khaar raaheey hein wholesale mein and that is yet another missile launched on china.
Guys just note one very important thing. NO newspaper in Pakistan EVEN MENTIONS this genocide going on in China. They are so conscious and scared of displeasing their master.
Now the irony is that the same people cry about human rights in Palestine and Kashmir. Isnt that funny? Different standards for different situations. Then they wonder why their Allah is not helping them.
Within India too, the awards of for Filmfare don't happen in Indian language due to hate for national language by few sections of India. Foreign language is more acceptable. So India is example of living Cultural genocide that Indians want. The west including USA is cultural melting pot going the western way. Even though the diversity people between their choice for Indian values and daily survival try to buy some India/Asian stuff but this struggle does not last long. The mind games, economic reality and laws of ghoras take over. India is economically incapable of banning Indians going to west or foreign countries for livelihood. Neither have we Indians occupied vast spaces of land all over the world. Islam and other religions proliferated all the way to Malaysia/Indonesia, it makes it easier for some to proliferate/accepted on basis of religion though Arabs have lesser need to emigrate due to being better off than the South-Asians. Neither Bobby Jindal or Obama profess their original faith at birth. Seems like even India could be heading that way unless there is spurt of some innovative thinking that give economic boost and something that joins all Indians. the establishment who kills their on children (thru one child policy), buldozes their own students (in Tinnaman square), oppresses religious freedom (Faiun Gong crackdown), stomps freedom of speech (thru internet censorship) - have no right to talk about Tibet. I think the China ponzi game will not last for long. When the curtains come down on the current communist regime, it's going to be ugly.
