About the interview with Tibetan leader Samdhong Rinpoche
by ramakrishna Nemani on Mar 20, 2008 10:43 AM  Permalink

I am a south Indian person. Most of us strongly believe in Gandhian Phylosophies which we personally feel are none other than Buddist phylosophies of ancient. Why make use of them in the present situation and why do all the people of Tibetan Origin in Tibet can follow them in true principle.Rather it is toughest for any normal person to make use of them but may be for the monks..........

Thanks your holiness...
by Pathur Swaminathan on Mar 20, 2008 10:38 AM  Permalink

India being a free country, it should work for freedom and liberty for all of subjugated people, who have been forcibly annexed, or ruled by dictators, be it at home, Tibet or in neighboring Pakistan. While our own citizens are matured enough to cause the necessary shifts in our political landscape to affect corrections, we as a country must rise to the occasion and safeguard the interests of the Tibeteans who have been culturally with us and have peacefully co-existed with our soil for centuries.

We must thwart the canniving, ruthless and arrogant Chinese from achieving thier evil designs. I hope our media (including Sheela from Rediff) will play a constructive role in furthering the Tibetean cause.

My sincere respects to His Holiness, the PM in exile and I wish and pray that their stuggle will bear fruit soon. I for one, as a citizen of India consider every Tibetean a virtual Indian citizen; when we can allow Islamists and rabid missionaires to carry on thier nefarious activities, espcially foreigners (these are the real terrorists and threats to our civilization), why not helpless refugees? Tibeteans are like the Jewish community of India, who will enrich our culture and strengthen us further as a nation.

Solve OUR problems first!!!

Instead of interfering in China and Tibet, we should better concentrate on solving Kashmir headache. Make a clandestine pact with China. We keep mum on Tibet and you dont help Porkistan when it comes to Kashmir. Even if that means a full fledge Indo-Pork war. Why keeping fingering the axx of the dragon when he's in a snoring mood,eh? instead let tibetans and chinese (yellow-fellows) sort their problems among themselves. We better safeguard our border, especially Arunachal.

You are in our own world. Indo-China relations are getting better only because China chose to fight it out another day. China's startegy for south asia is nothing without Pakistan and whatever happens that is unlikely to change. Please remember, China is one country where public opinion is next to nothing. So, do whatever you want, Chinese's "art of war" only views India as its enemy...may be they would have polished it to include a the world competitor now although.

FREE TIBET
by KAMAL KHATRI on Mar 20, 2008 10:15 AM  Permalink

CMON ALL INDIANS AND PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD, LETS JOIN HANDS TO FREE TIBET FROM THE CLUTCHES OF THESE CHINESE COMMUNISTS. PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD SHOULD START AGITATION. I APPEAL TO ALL INDIANS TO COME FORWARD AND START PROTESTS MARCH IN EACH OF THEIR CITIES AGAINST THESE COMMUNISITS. IF WE DONT SHOW THE CHINESE OUR STRENGTH THIS TIME & TOW THIER LINES THEN WE WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO SOLVE OUR BORDERS DISPUTES WITH THEM. what they think of themselves to ask us to do something in our country. Have we become this weak that communist like China have to tell us how to run our country. We can understand our situation in 1950's when we were not strong enough to oppose the Chinese but we can not go on repeating the same mistakes over and over again. As history has taught us by making chinese happy by doing whatever they want us to do doesnt helps us but encourages them to do further damage to us, we come across to them as weak nation of weak people. They have already annexed our AKSAI CHIN area as well as 30000 sq. miles in North-East. This is the time to take Strong posture and let them know that we are not going to be silent this time ans watch helpless people face ethnic cleansing as they call it. THE TIME HAS COME TO TEACH THESE CHINESE HAN EXPANSIONISTS THAT THE WORLD HAS CHANGED AND WE ARE IN THE 21ST CENTURY WHERE THEY CANNOT JUST WIPE OUT ONE OF THE MOST PEACEFUL CULTURES AS THEY LIKE IT. AS HIS HIGHNESS DALAI LAMA PUTS IT WE CANNOT LET THEM CARRY ON THIS CULURAL GENOCIDE IN

He also happens to be the ONLY reason for the Kashmir headache which he started by stupidly rushing to UN and being a blabbermouth. Promising plebiscite in Kashmir. Now, why keep that 'plebiscite' restricted only to KASHMIR, eh? why not extend it to people who feel suffocated in Bhendi bazar, Mumbra, Aligarh, Malegaon, Naroda etc?? give them the right to decide if they wanna stay here or wanna go to porkistan for a better(!!??) future.

Clarity
by Priyan Sarma on Mar 20, 2008 10:10 AM  Permalink

Real clarity of thought on what Tibetans want. On Tawang, he is absolutely right. Why should India be a coward. What use is the nuclear bomb, Agni's & Brahmos, a million plus army and 10's of thousand of crores spent on defence every year if we cannot defend our rights and had to crawl to Chinese diktats. It is because of our spineless nature that we have been pressurized by even the minnow countries surrounding us.

Sheela should have asked questions in a decent manner.
by Peekay First on Mar 20, 2008 10:09 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Her way of interviewing the budhist monk was not at all goo. Who is she..what she want ? If it is Parvez Mushraff or any one from Palestine..will she dared to interview like this. Actually she was intorogating the scholar.
Freedom of press doesnt mean dat she should try to show her boastfull manner to a peacefull Monk.

My respect is doubled after reading his answers.

I SUPPORT FREEDOM OF TIBET.

Thanks for the support friends. Ye her role is suspecious. She was interested to down them more than interest in the real subject. I SALUTE LAMAS & THIER POLICIES BASED ON PEACE. TIBET SHOULD BE FREED FROM THE IRON HANDS OF CHINA. Let us rise our voice for that.

she is like this only - poorly educated, and had a bad parenting I guess. You should look at the way she was going on as a propaganda machine against Modi and gujaratis during the election..

I 100% agree to it. I almost hate the tone she used to interview. Just another example of our media persons are ready to dive to any level to make every interview sensational (without even caring bout message they are sending)

I really admire the monk for his poise and composed answers - it only shows how a scholar should react to such interviewers.

by slicktiger on Mar 20, 2008 10:08 AM  Permalink

Implementation of 24 page sucking common minimum programme is the life time goal of this Govt. I don't think it can think beyond that in its existance. Sorry Dalai Lama , we ditched you!
