india is an unweildy confused nation run by govt formed thr' sheer manipulation. india's govt does not reflect the true willof the hindus. certainly, nobody can take sucha country's claim seriously to u.n. top deliberative body. indian govt can't act decisively, can't help anybody, except india's islamic population - and what can that earn india in world market?
chines are the people who never respect their own words. there have been three treaties on border issue with india. 1840,1914 and the last after our independence with our pm pt. jawaher lal nehru. in 1962 war they overruled their own words, under the camofladge of panch sheel the prepared well and attack on india. this was only the war in indian history where moraly we lost the war even befor the begning of that. in the terror of their super air force we did not use our air force, which became one of the reason of our defeat, even that time we were in bettor posison but due to lake of proper information and poor command we lost the war, which left the unforgatable black spote on the face of brave indian army. even today they are preparing well in tibbet and on north of macmohan line through out by devepoling net work of roads, railway line, aerodrums and newclear wepons. where as we are on the same track as it was befor 1962 in case of roads, train network and the aerodrums. even today our army have to walk a weak to reach our borders. by not supporting tibbetians freedome struggle we are encouraging china , which is always a threat to us. so we must support them on this issu. we must support. Y.S. TOMAR (YASHI)
Reading the preface looked like Bhat is changed person, alas, then she/he asks question as if a representative of Peoples (sic) Ripublic of China. Wow, the exile Prime Minister is more strong in thinking than our own Dr MMS. Looks like Indian Govt and people involved are more ignorant and cannot fight or reason for their own rights. What stop us asking our right in India and in the world, including China.
Yes, Rinpoche is right about China. The biggest strength of India is her free and democratic society. this is the biggest draback for china. now remote chinese villeges are turned into desert. poor people are not allowed to enter into city. they are just left to die. only a handful of politicians are enjoying the power and luxury in china. ....... But we, Indians are also on the similar boat, recent voilence in Mumbai shows weekness of modern India.
TIBET NEEDS TOTAL FREEDOM FROM CHINESE. THE CHINESE NEED TO KNOW THAT THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY AND TIBET WAS ANNEXED BY THEM AND IT IS NOT A CHINESE TERRIROTY. THEY NEED TO LEAVE IT AS BRITISHERS DID GIVE AWAY HONGKONG TO THEM. IT IS TIME CHINESE REALISE THEIR MISTAKE . LET THW WORLD RAISE THIS ISSUE WITH THE UN AND A PEACEFUL SOLUTION TO THIS BE AVAILED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

Sayabji Homi! what you seem to ignore is the fact that China is to Asia what USA is to the world. Even US can also not directly confront China because the dragon is now far more powerful. why do you think, taiwan and hong-kong are still under china? with the kind of military might and weaponry they have, it is not easy to give orders to the fire breathing monster. dreaming is ok. but reality's quite different. and it does not change.
Lack of proper information or even more, biased information, are curses for us common people and that is the weapon always being used by the powers and their pet media. Professor Rinpoche's views have wonderful clarity and logic but I am sure that official chinese authority can also present an equally appealing version from their side. So, it is not so easy to decide about a state or society unless we also take a biased position (anti-China, in this case) to start with.
Crudely speaking, historically Tibet is being treated as a dependent province either by British India or China, which never showed the strength of standing alone. On the other hand, the place is full of natural, cultural and religious resources which can be really attractive for a ruler. So, exploitation was an inevitable part of this area all throughout. It is almost like how India treats her North-Eastern states, or state like Jharkhand or even Kashmir. If one looks into US, the places of traditional Red Indians are no different by treatment. The story of power probably is always similar. And powers have their own understanding which hardly cares about the sentiments of few of its non-influential citizens. So, an independent Tibet isn't a likely possibility. Tibetan's have to find out a viable, profitable solutions for themselves. Also, it is certainly not a reality that Tibet may become Singapore just like that, they will need bigger supports. Its painful, but a real solution is the only option.
It is high time that we took a firm stand. Historically we have been following a policy of appeasement to show ourselves in good light. Let's boycott the Olympics.
