It may seem like a cliche but we need a change in the system. The way things work in Indian politics, it sucks! Even a party with single digit strength in the Parliament controls how policy descisions are made. This should change guys. This implies people should change. The voters should not be indifferent to the elections. Give full majority to some party. India hsa gone back and forth on the N deal so many times that it is very embarassing! Communists place their political agenda above the Nation's interest.
All I would say is India always tries to be on the wall and impress everybody and hurt no one. This is absurd and stone age philosophy. Gandhi's principle of showing the second cheek does not work in this world. You will end up thrashed and trashed. We need to take a strong stance. Nobody can impress all at the same time. We may never be able to get good politicians but atleast we should get a single party government...things may work a little bit better... On Tibet's issue, I really think India should support their cause, given the follow up to the struggle and the peace loving Tibet. I sometimes have this fear...India may forever remain the Great Democracy but never become the Great Power.
We are India - land of great democracy, love and humanity, now partnering with criminals in Chinese and Myanmmar Government and ignoring the innocent civilians fighting for their "Right to Live"?
We are India - a leader who lead the World on the Non-Aligned movement and showed strong restraints to so-called super powers during cold-war era, is now giving up its ideology for materialistic interest?
We are India - land of great leaders like Gandhi, Netaji and Shaheed Bhagat is now ignoring similar leaders Dalai Lama and Aung Sun Suu Kyi who are closely related to India?
Successive Indian govt of this era is totally blurring the great image of India to future generation. World and even future generations of Indians will soon know India as a country, which forfeited Tibet & Myanmmar for money & gas.
We have to stand up and redeem our values or else our Government will sell our tradition, our culture and our values.
The government's response was on expected lines as it afraid to displease our communists politicians whose loyalties lies with the Chinese government.I have my suspicions that our communists are clandestinely funded by the Chinese Government as can be seen from their response to the Nuclear Deal which is clearly detrimental to Chinese causes.
Do we really have some one in the government who project the views of Indians or is it a bunch of slaves, suffering from blackmailing, power crazy cowards with no self-respect and dignity and bothered about their own interest only?

Narayan, many of us (INDIANS) have been going through your offensive and aggressive postings. Why don't you first reveal your true identity? Are you a chinese communist who has taken an indian psyedonm? Or simply a misguided "secularist", (the hidden enemies of our country). Understand one thing! Your so called comparisons will have no effect of the resolve of hundreds of millions of indians who will chart their own course to growth and prosperity! We, in India do not need to look to China! A day will come when even our politicians will realise this. In fact China has always looked at India for support; which India has given, only to get nothing in return. Are you aware it was India's sponsorship that allowed China's entry into WTO?? Are you aware that it is India's misguided support to China on the Tibet issue that has allowed it to swallow an entire nation and now harbour thoughts of grabbing india's land. Of course that would require you to reveal your true identity - something you have always been shying away from!!

Amit Kakri,India is the only superpower of the world. India helps China to be the third largest economic power in the world. India keeps 300 million poor people hungry and helps Chinese to lead a much better life. India helps China build their first-class infrastructure and keeps India's roads shabby.

Good point. the market value of Sinopec, a chinese oil company is around 1 trillion dollars, which amounts to india's total gdp. This is only a company. you india should not be stupid to offense china

and yes. As I pointed out before. India is used by the west as a tool to contain china. the west never really care about india's development or interest. they want india to fight china so that both emerging powers to be weak.
Open your eyes, indians. do not get brainwashed by the west and follow americans. China and india should have peace and develop together.
India was literally mutilated by China in 1962. The shock has been so heavy that with name of China India starts urinating. Corrupt Force officials have already hijacked Indian force, with further sharp shortage of officers in Indian forces as youths prefer to go for BPO kind of jobs but not to Army! And sametime a government which is so fallen and worthless which is just politically botherred to save its own chair insteda of nation, examples are recent silence over Mumbai Violence or dumping the Nuke deal with USA or poor diplomacy on burma issue or be it backstabbing of old friend Iran under pressure of the USA! Indians can't fight poverty eastern India, naxalism. terrorism...do you think these corrupt people would have any guts to fight China who has got so much gutts that it calls Arunachal as its region and government just keeps silence like cowards!

All rowdies and criminals are sitting in the parliament. We can not expect these spineless politicians to take hard decisions like reservations, population control. A small country like Pakistan sees us eye to eye then why we should be so much afraid of China. But we should work very hard to make our economy strong and prosper in all the fields. Other wise the gap between us will keep on widening.

Name a country which is paragon of virtue. Every country has useless people- somehow your focus is only on negatives of India.
For your kind information in World II maximum number of Victoria cross was won by Indians not British- and you say Indians are cowards? INA was a secular army and it actually it came upto Imphal winning many battles against mighty British army inspite of poor equipments-and you are abusing Indians.
Even Britain-French-Germany were under Roman rules if India lost freedom for some time it is not unique to India.
Let me tell you today Afghanistan may be a different country-but actually Pathans were Gandharvas very much Indian; so Indian history under Pathans was not foreign rule.

We need to give a no nonse stand against China, because if we dont Chinese will sit on our head; actually they helped Pakistan with N-bomb; shows their negative attitude towards India.
China would improve unless they get thrashing for misadventure, infact border skirmishes with China- once we gave sound thrashing in late eighties.
We have excellant defence force- and N-blackmail wont work against-because Sanghai-Hong Kong are within our Su-30 jets tipped with missile.

Roy was simply stating facts. Being a Mungeri Lal with haseen sapnes is not going to solve our problems.
Its High time India takes its stand clear with both Paki and Chinese as rightly mentioned by most readers here we have been robbed of our land and wealth and above all army men who gave their lives for that land.
Partly our own Leaders are responsible for this and it is high time that our leaders through some weight and attitude around the corner to ensure that we get back what is legitimately ours or else we stand a chance of loosing Arunachal Pradesh on one had followed by J&K on the other.
I feel its enough of sleeping over this issue being scared of some Tom Dick and Harry. This is our country and every inch and centimeter of this land is ours.
Dont forget the fact that a lot of Army men sacrificed their lives to this cause protecting what should be rightly ours but the stupid leaders gave away a great deal since our independence.
We need some young leaders who can set right this position and condition of the nation and he / she should also make sure that our internal position is also straightened up. There is a lot that is happening internally that is fuelling these activities.
It is WE THE PEOPLE OF INDIA who are allowing all this to happen to please do not simply try to blame the country or its leaders. They represent you.....
India cannot rist making China unhappy. India needing to be careful to not allow anti-china protest. China is more powerful than USA now and also number 1 economic power.
