As expected, India is dithering on the issue and presenting a weak image. Is the govt scared of the Chinese? If we have protected the Tibetans and ...harboured the Dalai Lama, why are we not taking a clear stand with the happenings in Tibet? Don't tell me we have still not recoverd from psychological humiliation of '62
Becoz of non-voilence ideology Buddhism is distryoed in Afgainstan and time for Tibet.
Some suggestions, China has boundary issue to nearly all their neighbour. No one can trust on China.
Fact is violence is the only Solution Tibet problem. For that Tibetean have to take weapons in hand. India must provide weapons to Tibetan. As China supplied to Pak and NE-militant.
India have to supply nuke to Taiwan.
India and US need to support east-Turkistan freedom movement.
India and US need to support democracy movement in China which will leads to civil war.
Once Tibet liberated from China, India and Tibet have to take initiative to merge Tibet in India. Because of same culture and ideology.

Violence is the only solutions to tyranny and murder. you can't preach non-violence to muslims or communist. they will only listen to the language of the sword. IF YOU TRY TO DEFEAT THEM WITH NON-VIOLENCE YOU WILL EITHER END UP LIKE THE TIBETANS, PARSIS OF IRAN, BUDDHISTS OF AFGHANISTAN. these people will totally anihilate you. You need to kill them before they kill u. Like the Israeli Jews do to the ARABS in Palestine. AN EYE FOR AN EYE. FIGHT FORCE WITH MORE FORCE.

"Once Tibet liberated from China, India and Tibet have to take initiative to merge Tibet in India. Because of same culture and ideology". So your hidden agenda is to MERGE Tibet with India & nothing else. Now are you different from the chinese invaders?
Yes, India ought to be pro-active for the sake of rise of a spiritualistic Asia. For Asia to regroup as a living entity and play the role of the Eastern light, anti-spritual and grossly materialistic communist Chinese domination in the continent should end. Tibet people deserve all our backing. There is no need to fear Chinese wrath. When we aim for the realisation of a higher vision, universal forces of truth will come to our aid. It happened in Bangladesh. Most of the world called us aggressors but turned around and recognised Bangladesh when liberated by us. When we know that something right is to be done, we must do it regardless of world opinions. Besides it is worth striving for a greater future than acquiesce in the stifling present. Let us retrieve the spirit of ancient Aryans of our land and advance to greater future for the sake of truth.

This spiritualist stuff belongs to the 'BC' or before christ period. So now we buy some guns & defend ourselves instead of confusing every one with this spiritual BS. Also we shld mind our own business. What happened in Bangladesh? We lost precious soldiers and billions of Rupees every day in some one else's war.Net result? Bangladesh now "Smites the hand that rocked the cradle"!
If a tiny nation like Vietnam can defeat Chinese PLA, why can't the great Indian army. It is the politicians who do not have the courage. The only PM so far who had balls of steel was Indira Gandhi. Surprisingly she was a woman. May be Rakhi Sawant shoul;d be thePM of India or the Indian Army should take over defence and foreign policy (much like the CIA operating in US).

Great India army went to Srilanka and got choked by the LTTE ,to say the least!
In 1914, representatives of China, Tibet and Britain negotiated a treaty in India: the Simla Convention. During the convention, the British tried to divide Tibet into Inner and Outer Tibet. When negotiations broke down over the specific boundary between Inner and Outer, the British demanded instead to advance their line of control, enabling them to annex 9,000 square kilometers of traditional Tibetan territory in southern Tibet i.e Tawang region, which corresponds to the north-west parts of modern Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, while recognizing Chinese suzerainty over Tibet and affirming the latter's status as part of Chinese territory, with a promise from the Government of China that Tibet will not be converted into a Chinese province. Tibetan representatives signed without Chinese approval, more so as an act of defiance now that the Chinese army had left; after the collapse of Chinese authority in Tibet in 1912. China maintains that it was signed under British pressure;

Oh Boy have you forgotten how the LTTE guys gave us a drubbing in Srilanka and proclaimed to the world that they beat the India army...to put it mildly?
Some people are asking us to use "force" in tibet issue against the big neighbour.
Laughable to say the least.
Please remmmember that throughout its history India never invaded others. If you are asking us to invade others, you have come to the wrong country.
Ofcourse We do have border issues with neighbours but that does not mean that we behave like Pak and spread terror.
Last,I am slightly suprised why BJP opposed govt in the house.I thought foreign policy always had a consensus in the country.Anyways I request govt not to be guided by emotions but rather be guided by national interest like ALL other nations do.
The Dalai Lama has offered to resign if the situation in Tibet degenerates. His government-in-exile said 19 Tibetans were killed Tuesday in Machu county in China%u2019s northwestern Gansu province. Meanwhile, pro-Tibetan groups published photos they said showed bodies of Tibetans killed by Chinese repression at the Kirti Monastery in Aba county, in the Chinese province of Sichuan
