India should be more proactive
by Venkat on Mar 19, 2008 09:51 AM  Permalink

Yes. India should be more proactive and support Tibetans. Not supporting Tibetan cause will embolden China to claim more and more of Indian territory in the North east. But there are many political parties of the communist hue that are completely pro-China which does not augur well for India. Responsibility lies on the Indian voter to be more discerning at least in future to vote out such anti-Indian political parties out of power till they turn round.

Chinese Oprression in Tibet
by William Drastic on Mar 19, 2008 09:48 AM  Permalink

It is most unfortunate that in the 21sr century, a country like China is forcibly in occupation of Tibetan territory while pointing fingers at India. That India has not taken a stand on the current protests is no surprise as we have never ever taken a stand on any issue; You need statesmen and men of character to do so. That we have none on the horizon has been a given fact for very long. Similar oppression continues in another neighbouring country - Mynamar, an ideological extension of China in many ways. That the Cinese leadership is not willing to allow its people freedom enjoyed by humans elsewhere is the direct result of their selfishness and lust for power. But, as has repeatedly been proven in history, oppression cannot continue for ever.

India is busy
by selah on Mar 19, 2008 09:44 AM  Permalink

Indian govt have no time to react to these issues. they are busy in buying expaired ships from USA and Russia. Indian navy become garbage place to dump their old ships.
BJP govt.will also follow the same policy. may be they will create new minister to deal such things. no party opposed in parlment about this deal but only left makes some sound against the deal with USA ( they keep quite about the deal with Russia and most of the media didnot report the issue with its importency...Think in which direction India moves
