The Turbulence in Tibet
by ali shahanshah on Mar 19, 2008 10:02 AM  Permalink

India has given refuge to the Tibetan head of state and spiritual leader.India cannot ask China to free Tibet from Chinese rule. This is a matter between the Chinese government and the Tibetan Government in Exile .May be the Dalai lama should be invited to Beijing to open the Olympic games. It will be a smart move if the Chinese can stuff their Han ego down their throats. The trouble in Tibet does not seem it will end immediately,The West will fan the flames and watch with glee at the discomfort being caused by one Asian to another Asian.Wake up!Hu Jin Tao!! Dowhat you have to now!

Tibet: Should India be more pro-active?
by Nirpinder Singh on Mar 19, 2008 09:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

China will never be appeased. Just think Tibet ko harrap lia aur dakkar bhi nahi liya. Now they want Arunachal Pradesh. They already have a portion of J&K gifted to them by Pakistan.

Only way to divert China from boundary issues with India is to encourage and support Tibetian militancy. As long as China is in trouble, they may not look for Arunachal Pradesh or Taiwan. I know this is not the correct path, but we have to.

China is a very powerful neighbour and we have our own problems with them especially on boundary matters. The subject is very sensitive and it should not be against our National interests

What are you talking about? In a democracy it is the Prime Ministe and his Cabinet that should set policy not the bureaucrats. If the Ministers are not well informed it is our fault for electing duffers in the first place.

bureaucrats are doing here and whom are acutally incapable and ugly cowards. Decisions are made based on their inputs and there is serious doubt that whether the people in Cabinet have any broader political understanding or not. And if they dont have then who is doing all this on behalf of US.

India is trying too hard to appease China. Why are we chronically scared of the belligerent nation?
