While President Bush needs to take the Senate's approval for the Nuclear Deal, Indian Congress Party says is does NOT need Indian Parliament's approval for the same. Does this mean Indian Congress Party is more interested in getting US Senate's approval than Indian Parliament's?

OK! I think that is being too sentimental about our Governance. Perhaps it has to do with the mandate the constitution provides to the Govt. It could be the case irrespective of the party in Power.

whtever he says, but current situation is worst in history independent India.
We do not have single uncorrupt politician, every politician is more worried about his future over countries future. They have even forgot common man, ( who is this animal named common man?) They know him has poor animal who feeds them every 5 years.
We common man have to teach lesson to corrupt politician by chossing right candidate by urself. person who feels that he is servant of common man and not a King of corruption.

Do you rally 60k crore going to really reach the the improvished farmer, who is commiting susides in vidharba or rain harvested fields of other parts of India Is any differenc made between well harvested hingh income farmers of Punjab, Haryana, rivers supported farmers of other states like parts of Maharastra, AP, tamil nadu ... why a resource plenty farmer should be subsitised.
Is the loan repayment helps a small or marginal farmer in any part, who take loans from local lenders, small private coo-operative at high interests in most of these lenders belong to politicians or their relatives,( remember our own presidents relatives are involved in some of these scams) these farmers ultimately loose thier small farmes and these money will go the coffers of these lenders
Do you think the farmers commiting suside are really that educated to know about taking loans from banks in necessarity and do you think the banks rally pay these small marginal farmers ... and do any of these farmers really know that their loans are cancelled. (many educated guys like us only donot know that small small amount of our tax returns are that are needed to be re-funded to us go un accounted , reason check lost and reciver untraceble)

Is this not having a social dishonesty. take loan from Govt banks ,Donot repay the loan, wait till elections and waiver. escape loans and swindle the money into accounts. these acts will not be done by real poor farmer, but sufficently rich person who abuses the policy
is it not waste of taxpayers money, are we not killing our banking system , by effecting behaviour of people to procastnate a loan repayment and dishonoring it completely
Does this loan wavier garuntees that ,its really going to benifit the farmer in the immidiate crop ..... And atleast it is not mentioned ,how are we going to raise this money ... is it by selling some profit making organization to some private player .... this is was we were doing ...... lose the agriculture and lose the govt industries to private players in damm cheap rates, that were built using tax payers money all just for votes ???

Sudhakar - remove those coloured glasses and see to the pure logic the journalist has put forth. If still you cannot understand just tell why the Left which was huffing and puffing (Karan Thapar's interview of Bardhan) just on eve of 17.03.2008 have agreed to meet the UPA ministers in April, 2008? Remove the glasses and take Mr. Shenoy's article at its face value and you will understand that Left has belatedly learnt that they have been proved fools by Congress.

Indian National Congress, is the most Democratic Party and oldest, which won us Independece from the most greedy British Imperialist.
Mr.Shenoy is a ordinary Jurno, he can criticize, articulate and fake the facts;but the Dr. ManMohan Singh is World Famous economist he cann't be fooled by his FM.

1. There is no Indian National Congress today. It is Congress (I) or Indira Congress which was born in 1969. 2. Congress (I) never won us any independence. Tell me which member of this party fought against the British. Sonia Maino? Rahul Gandhi? Priyanka Vadra Gandhi? Robert Vadra? Enlighten us. 3. Congress (I) is not the most democratic party either. Refer to what Rahul Gandhi has to say on the internal democracy in Congress (I) 4. Nowhere has Shenoy said that the FM has fooled the PM. He has said that Congress has timed the farmer package at such a juncture which puts the Left in an unenviable position.
But of course you are still free to believe what you want to believe a la Shenoy and the precious Congress.

Yeah the question is not about is really the deal useful for India and Indian Interests. Just as USA gave the deal, oppose it calling US hegemony, now whats happening is not chinese Hegemony ,,, and they are silent. Communists in India just oppose anything from USA or anything Hindu .. no reason, nothing , just blind agains Not to say USA is great or the deal has no loopsholes as much it is published. see the warship deal that we had with USA, its deal says we should not use it in time of WAR, now why the deal struck .. and what was communists doing then.

communism today is synonymous of red tape , vote bank politics and intolerance and most of all dual standards .
Good.. the commies should be wiped out. Even if Supreme court banishes strikes and hartal, they rename it as ' protest' and evade Courts anger. Both Bengal and Kerala are virtual victims of their play. Atleast Keralites change their governments every alternate elections, but commies at Bengal are sticking to their gun. Now if they lose these states foreever, God will be happy, so are the citizens of these states.
Mr. Kamath is known BJP hater and now he has evidently given the calculated move of Congress to push the commies to the corner. The all powerful Soniaji and non political Manmohanji had made commies look like minions, after they made big big talks. The camera savvy Prakash Karat and Sitaram Yechury will have to hide their faces at AK Gopalan Bhavan now.
When people are murdered in Kerala, VS Achuthanandan refused permission to discuss the same in the Assembly. But when the cars two cars owned by karat & Yechury! were simply stoned at Delhi, they made virtual hangama in Lok Sabha. Car is costlier than life of humans. They should have cut the limbs of these two commies.
