Implications for India
by Rohit Porwal on Mar 26, 2008 10:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Absoultely, For this it need not look at West for support also. It is India's butt which is on fire because of Chinese occupation of Tibet. We have unscrupulous wolves lumbering on our borders because we do not have a friendly neighbour. Our resources and GDP are utilized for unproductively for containing a belligerent neighbour. It does not matter to Western nations as much as much as it matters to India. That China stations Nukes in Tibet is a privilege granted to them by us. Forget what our past leaders have done. It may have been moral or practical at that time but not now. That Chinese forces clampdown on Tibeteans inside Nepal is even more horrendous. Tommorrow it could be inside India.

With CPM around, who needs China or Pakistan ? Bigest positive implication will be that Indians recognize the danger of CPM and get rid of them forf good. CPM thinks India should give up Kashmir or forget Tibetan cause forever. Hitting a raw nerve of India has never been easier for CPM.

CPM knows to divide and conquer. But, sadly, we can't seem to *express* unity on essential principles.

UPA and NDA need to unite when necessary. They do express agreement on some principles like Tibet, nuke deal, Taslima. YES, 1) at least UPA tried to push the US deal. YES, 2), at least NDA tried to tell China what we remember about Tibet. And YES, 3) both Congress and BJP want to keep India united including Kashmir valley, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, etc.

You know what the REAL problem is? NO, the Congress and BJP are not able to espress a common stand on the most basic issues. This hurts almost every Indian very bad. Almost every Indian NEEDS a future independent nation of Tibet. Not really to protect ourselves from China, but actually to uphold our own cultural roots and ethos. We need to understand the difference between Tibet and Kashmir. The same philosophy that will earn independence for Tibet will (ultimately) earn the respect and admiration of Kashmiris. Kashmiris can choose non-violent protest and we must choose non-violent security measures. When Kashmiris see this, they will automatically recognize that they are in the same boat with India. The justification to give in to Chin

First the India needs to give up the beaten up mindset and east vs west ideology. Power hungry and shameless Congress under Left and Jihadi blackmail is again behaving like obideint cow in front of China. The precise mistake Nehru made by supporting china. We need to think in terms of our political expansion and our own world ambitions. By acting like a cow in the mosaic of so called EAST dictacted by china is not going to help India at all. India needs to stand-up, firm-up, actaully behave like a world power and not like third world state. Unless India and its coward leaders learns to be aggressive with China and with our looser neighbours, we can never ever be a world power.

China poses a great threat to India's future as:
1) China on our doorstep fearlessly claiming India's NE land
2) China having direct boundry with Pakistan supplying them all support for fight against India
3) China controlling almost all rivers flowing into India from Tibet controlling agriculture, industries, power generation, floods in India's eastern states.
4) China supplying arms/money to Left for anti-India activities giving India a permanent headach for how many more years.
5) Chinese betrayed India, made mockery of India's peace initiatives/support in 60s, attacked India and stole India's land.

China needs to be afraid of pro democracy movement in China too. The Chinese people should not be afraid of the way Tiananmen square movement was crushed. They should rise again and speak up.

Revolt in Tibet: Implications for India - DO NOTHING
by Rajan Shah on Mar 23, 2008 02:01 AM  Permalink

"Revolt in Tibet: Implications for India " DO NOTHING. That appears to be the message. Understand that the UPA has to count on the support of the communists and marxists. And note how their mouth piece, that left wing rag, The Hindu, has kept quite. Also note that the darling of this rag, the left wing militant Beijing Bidwai has also kept quite. Funny that, you would think these self proclaimed champions of human rights would say something. Nope, nothing, nada.

all countries officially recognized Tibet is a part of China
by Nico Davis on Mar 21, 2008 06:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I can say "Situation in Iraq and Afghanistan is a challenge to conscience of the world". Tibet is a part of China whithout any question. USA and all other countries recognized this when they established diplomatic relationship with China. I wonder why these people slap their own face by denying this.

Some of major criminals(you call them protestors) now are arrested by Chinese police or surrendered to Chinese goverment. Russia, Vietnam, Pakistan, All central Asian countries and Arabic countries, half of African countries already declared that they officially support China crackdowns these tibetian mobs. Do you know this? Do not be blind. Read news from all sources.

If you do not cooperate with Indian government which recognized Tibet is a part of China. Then, do not be angry to what Pakistani say Kashmir anf punjab is a part of pakistan. West Bengal is a part of Bangladesh. Everyone can justify what he says if any official diplomatic documents can be denied.

Question of USA or other countries accepting Tibet as part of China is not there. Question is why Tibetians are not accepting themselves as part of China because Tibetians are neglected and their development is not at par with their co fellos Chinese. Answer lies in Tibet and China and not other countries.

Dalai is a biggest lair
by David Dak on Mar 21, 2008 03:15 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Dalai is bigestliar. He said that 99 Tibetans were killed in recent riot but actually 13 Chinese were killed by Tibetan rioters and only three tibetan were killed. Dalai said that Chinese have destroyed Tibetan culture but actually Chinese Govts inject billions yuan and tonnes of gold each year to maintain the Pudala and other temples in Tibet to protect Tibetan culture and religions. Hundreds and thousands of monks live with the food supplied by Chinese and Chinese Govts. Ungrateful Dalai and some of monks are still unhappy. USA is second liar. It was CIA plotted rebelion in 1950s in Tibet to divide China and promised to Dalai for Tibet indipendent. Everyboy knows that before 1950, TIbet is a most inhuman and uncivilised society in the world. It was fuedal and slavery society. Dalai regime use human skulls to make chair arms. Dalai and monks were superior to ordinary Tibetans. Dalai treated ordinary Tibetans as slaves. How come the west think Dalai is a peace love monk? If it was not librated by Chinese PLA, Tibet will still be a slave and feudal society. Anybody has consciousness should realise the real face of Dalai. His smill can not cover his fake belive of peace. His Peace Awards is made as a tool by the West to against China. In China, Dalai is a laughing stock.

Revolt in Tibet: Implications for India
by Anuj jadon on Mar 20, 2008 08:58 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This is the high time to support Tibetis.India is a country of more than one billion people. We have culture which is more than 5000 years old.We believe in democracy and should support democracy in all over the world. If this time don't support Tibet wrong message will go to China.China can see it as our weakness.China claims that Arunachal is it's part.China is supplying arms and nuclear technologies to Pakistan and other rough countries like Noth korea & Iran and involved in nuclear proliferation.China is surrounding India all direction it is preparing military base in Pakistan, Burma , Bangladesh.China is opposing India's permanent seat in UN.It is occupied India's part Axai Chin.Supporting Tibet will be in our national interest because free and democratic Tibet can bring peace in the region otherwise there is no end of Chinies imperialism.
