RE:Double Standards by crazy funky on Mar 13, 2008 04:17 PM @ praada,
not every muslim women are nun ...but muslim women and nuns both are women...
terrorist dont need to wear hijab to get into university... any child dedicated to islam is not hopeless the way a hindu who is dedicated to hinduism is ...as hinduism itself let you differentiate from other religion as well as within themselves in the name of caste system. islam never goes on trial but people let it to ...because it can be blamed as it gives strenght and teaches unity to fight against injustice ..
"a noble person can sacrifice his life to kill evil and fight for justice ...he never sacrifice his life just to kill other person without reason ..."
You justify to kill if you find a reason, and this beast is termed as a noble person.

The US and the media are playing a dirty game of showing muslims as terrorist but the whole world can see which is the biggest terrorist nation in the world. The US sponsors terrorists, supplies arms and then says they are fighting war on terror and the world believe them bcoz they are superpowers.
Historical records compiled by Muslim historian Maulana Hakim Saiyid Abdul Hai attest to the iconoclasm of Qutb-ud-din Aybak. The first mosque built in Delhi, the "Quwwat al-Islam" was built after the demolission of the Hindu temple built previously by Prithvi Raj and certain parts of the temple were left outside the mosque proper.[24] This pattern of iconoclasm was common during his reign.

Sakaracharya had played %u2018a demon's role%u2019 in destruction of Buddhist statues and monuments at Nagarjunakonda (in present-day Andhra Pradesh). %u2018A. N. Longhurst, who conducted excavations at Nagarjunakonda, had recorded this in his invaluable book, Memoirs of the Archaeological Survey of India No. 54, The Buddhist Antiquities of Nagarjunakonda (Delhi, 1938, p. 6). The ruthless manner in which all the buildings at Nagarjunakonda have been destroyed is simply appalling and cannot represent the work of treasure-seekers alone since so many pillars, statues, and sculptures have been wantonly smashed to pieces. Local tradition relates that the great Hindu philosopher and teacher, Sankaracharya, came to Nagarjunakonda with a host of followers and destroyed the Buddhist monuments. The cultivated lands on which ruined buildings stand represent a religious grant made to Sankaracharya.%u2019

First, please show me if you have some non-Muslim source.
Secondly, Buddhists did not come here from outside India. They were born in India. Buddhism was considered to be one of the branches of Hinduism. Buddha was even considered to be an incarnation of Vishnu. Even today, Hindus have absolutely no hatred or ill feelings towards Buddhists.
Thirdly, if you say that so many Buddhist temples were destroyed, it is also true that so many Buddhist temples were built here. What about that?
Finally, B R Ambedkar himself blamed Muslims for the decline of Buddhism in India.

It is also a fact that Buddhism was considered to be one of teh several branches of Hinduism and Buddha was worshiopped as one of the incarnations of Vishnu.
Don't pickup your material from milligazette, which is a Muslim newspaper.
Search for "Persecution of Buddhists" and you will find that Buddhists were persecuted by Muslims as well as Christians.

commie Thapar came up with the theory of Buddhist temple destruction to please the Muslims on the Babri Masjid issue. There are no proofs as such produced in this regard.

Search for "Persection of Buddhists" in Wikipedia. It says Buddhsists were persecuted by Muslims and Christians in several countries. It does not talk about persection by Hindus.
Timur left Delhi in approximately January 1399. In April he had returned to his own capital beyond the Oxus (Amu Darya).
Immense quantities of spoils were taken from India. According to Ruy Gonzáles de Clavijo, 90 captured elephants were employed merely to carry precious stones looted from his conquest, so as to erect a mosque at Samarkand %u2014 what historians today believe is the enormous Bibi-Khanym Mosque. Ironically, the mosque was constructed too quickly and suffered greatly from disrepair within a few decades of its construction.

Hundreds of Buddhist statues, stupas and viharas have been destroyed in India between 830 and 966 AD in the name of Hindu revivalism. Both literary and archaeological sources within and outside India speak volumes about the havoc done to Buddhism by Hindu fanatics. Spiritual leaders like Sankaracharya and many Hindu kings and rulers took pride in demolishing Buddhist images aiming at the total eradication of Buddhist culture. Today, their descendants destroyed the Babri Masjid and also published the list of mosques to be targeted in future. It is with this sin of pride that they presently condemn Taliban.

This news was reported by Mukundan C. Menon. And the paper was written by Dr.Jayaprakash. Are the muslims?
One hundred thousand infidels, impious idolators, were on that day slain. Maulana Nasiruddin Umar, a counselor and man of learning, who, in all his life, had never killed a sparrow, now, in execution of my order, slew with his sword fifteen idolatrous Hindus, who were his captives....on the great day of battle these 100,000 prisoners could not be left with the baggage, and that it would be entirely opposed to the rules of war to set these idolaters and enemies of Islam at liberty...no other course remained but that of making them all food for the sword.

The Hindu ruler Pushyamitra Sunga had destroyed 84,000 Buddhist stupas which were built by Emperor Ashoka. This was followed by the demolition of Buddhist centres in Magadha. Thousands of Buddhist saints were killed mercilessly. King Jalaluka destroyed the Buddha viharas within his jurisdiction on the ground that chanting of hymns by Buddhists disturbed his sleep! In Kashmir, King Kinnara demolished thousands of viharas and captured the Buddhist villages to please Brahmins. A large number of Buddha viharas were usurped by Brahmins and converted into Hindu temples where entry of %u2018untouchables%u2019 was prohibited. Notably, Buddhist places were regularized as Hindu temples by writing Puranas, which were invented myths or pseudo history. The important temples at Aihole, Undavalli, Ellora, Bengal, Puri, Badarinath, Mathura, Ayodhya, Bodhigaya, Saranath, Nalanda, Gudimallam, Nagarjunakonda, and Srisailam are some of the striking examples of Brahminical usurpation of Buddhist centres.

Maulana Nasiruddin Umar was a great lier. I read his descriptions and felt he was writting fictions for gloryfying Popot Lal's barbarism. His writting are not historical facts.
Timur himself recorded the invasions in his memoirs, collectively known as Tuzk-i-Timuri.[21] In them, he vividly described the massacre at Delhi:
In a short space of time all the people in the [New Delhi] fort were put to the sword, and in the course of one hour the heads of 10,000 infidels were cut off. The sword of Islam was washed in the blood of the infidels, and all the goods and effects, the treasure and the grain which for many a long year had been stored in the fort became the spoil of my soldiers. They set fire to the houses and reduced them to ashes, and they razed the buildings and the fort to the ground .... All these infidel Hindus were slain, their women and children, and their property and goods became the spoil of the victors. I proclaimed throughout the camp that every man who had infidel prisoners should put them to death, and whoever neglected to do so should himself be executed and his property given to the informer. When this order became known to the ghazis of Islam, they drew their swords and put their prisoners to death.
