let's be objective here, and recognize the facts as they are. brahmans will bring great glory to india if allowed their shashtra-ordained role in india. anything short of it is not in the best interests of india. you don't need to compromise on brahmans' role in order to be nice to harijans and others.

given an opportunity, every one will do fine. What bothers me in India, particularly in south is that Brahmins are discriminated. If a person wants to keep the caste or religion it is their personal business. Discrimination or giving unlimited privileges on the basis of caste is an inhibitor of progress.
