Just look at the Indian communists and you will find the biggest traitors and anti-nationals. Sri Lankans are great people. They are most welcome to come and vist the Buddhist holy sites in India. Kewl so what do you say about the destruction of the much older HIndu culture and the Tamil language by sucseesive Sri Lankan goivernment since independence. What do yo think was the prevailing religion in Sri Lanka before Buddhism arrived and most Tamil Hindus got converted to Buddhism and the Sinhala language evolved. The Sinhalas are not practising the proper message of love and peace that Lord Buddah preached. what they are doin gin the name of Buddhism wil lmake Lord Buddah weep . They are following the fanatical and destructive type of faith that Muslim extremist are preaching in the name of thoer religion. Thei wil untimately bring a lot of destruction and misery to many. Ironically many of these Sinhlas extremeist castes and communities that preach hatred towards the native Tamils and Hinduism, are of very recent South Indian Tamil origin. Many have only been very recently Sinhalised in the past few centuries some wihtin th elast 100 years. This includes the Major General Fonseka who has vowed tokill Pirabkaran. His family name suggests that he belongs to the Sinhala Karawa community. This is a 100 % Tamil origin caste. Pirabakaran and most LTTe members are form the Tamil Karaiyar(Karawe)caste. Although they have now become total strangers lots of these Sinhla and Tamil Karawes are actually 4th or 5th cousinds and stil retain the same clan names. So this Sinhlas Maj. Gen is now looking ot kill his distant Tamil Cousin. This gen is now in India

THis has been the history of the Sri Lankan Tamils since independence of accords not being honoured beogh torn up and broken due to Sinhlas Buddhist extremism). genocidal Sinhala recism. Like we personally have and the joy relish that was seen in most Sinhlas eyes. Some may have heaard of it from thoer parents durin gthe partition of India. Most would hav eseen this genocidal anger hatred in Nazi holocaust movies seeing Hoptek Rwanda or movies regarding the partition of India. BUt most Sri lankan Tamils including me have personally have experinced this hatred and had to literally run for our lives and hide from mad drunk drugh induced Sinhala mobs. These mobs were eggen on by senior politicans ministers BUddhist Priests and the general Sinhla public. We literally had to run ofr our lives wit honly the clothes that we wore and loose everthing. mOst of us had survived due to the kindnes sof some Sinhalese. SOme Sinhalses may be sorry for wha tis happeining especially to thoer friends and Tamil relatives to others this may only extend to thoer Tamil relatives and friends but generaly they are very happy and content over the tratment that has been and bing given to the Tamils. This would not hav ecome to this level without the support of the Sinhala people. Both the classes and the masses Buddhist and Christian Sinhalas. I have SInhala first cousins so they may feel sorry for what happened ot my family and to thoer other Tamil cousinsbut generally agree with what is dished out to the Tamils. Pirabakaran's terrorism is result of continous state sponsored terrorism against teh Sri Lankan Tamils since independence.

Agree some of the points raised by you Mr Chelvarajan,but you must realise Prabhakaran who was yet another leader of many many armed group which was born due to sinhala arrogant, outrageous,actio on Jaffna university,tried to become sole spoksman for Tamils.Moderates were eliminated,other groups were ruthlessly eliminated(with help from beyond shores) this created fear in ordinary tamils,they were sucked into extreme violent ways of LTTE.SL govt could have been persuaded to give up its Sinhals only policy,but could not be done because of Sinhals back lash due to killing of Sinhalas by Tamil groups.No civil elected govt will succumb to arm twisting.So it reached a dead end Now some sense shold prevail on both sides to come out of t5his logjam Otherwise the day is not far off when SL politics will be dominated by outside powers(chia,pak,US)powers

I am not a Tamilian, but I do care about Hindus. now I see bunch of Singahlese savages killing hindus for no reason that they are tamil. That is not acceptable- don't consider yourself as a budhist either- bunch of savage you are doing harm to the non-volient religion and compasasionate religion which is Budhism- which was born in India. We should not support any terrorism . But we should strongly insist that the Tamils be treated fairly and be treated as equal citizens. At the same time the Tamils should be told that separatism will not be encouraged and that a united Sri Lanka is important. The West does the easiest and stupidest thing - balkanize countries whenever there is internal turmoil. We cannot allow that - the world is becoming smaller and more united gradually and people must learn to live together - of course as equal citizens.

I feel every problem could be solved if Sri Lanka becomes an autonomous Indian protectorate assuring Srilankans of soverignity of their day to day affairs, minimising their security costs, and then the Tamils would also have a safe area to live in. Having said that, I also agree that terrorism cannot be supported.
Already 60 per cent Tamils either killed or displaced from Eastern and Northern Provinces. What is profit with remaining 40 per cent? Let them complete their genocide and be there Only Sinhalese,only sinhala. Russia,China,Pak.... what makes difference. Indian politicians are short sighted one. They only claim LTTE is terrorist organisation. But nothing else.One day India will face problems with JVP of Sri Lanka.

Yes Ashok, we all plan something and God plans something else. One China policy is encouraging India and Russia to do the same. Since EU is trying to grab the Ex-Soviet countries into Its fold, Russia is taking strong stand to re-grab Its neighbours. India is destabilising the neighbouring countries, and oneday It will just walk in and Rule. That is why USA is very strong on Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Also against China, USA is very strong in Taiwan. USA may lose with China, but India will definitely lose with USA in Sri Lankan case. India has got ONLY one option.
