You're right. Somnath Chatterjee has done this 'resignation threat' so many times that it has become a joke and it is no surprise that parliamentarians brush it aside
His father NC Chatterjee was a tall Hindu Mahasabha Leader, Parliamentarian. He was twice parliament member, worked with SP Mukherjee and so many others to create West bengal without which it would have become part of Eastern pakistan.
Its most disgracing to see Somnath, son of NC Chatterjee, is in CPIM- #1 anti-national Party.
I heard so many stories of NC Chatterjee from my grand father.
