As an afterthought, the government has decided to name Army complex after F.M.Manekshaw. Probably the govt. realised that it was stupid of them not to send any senior ministers or such to the funeral.

Better late than Never.
Did you know that after 303 BC -- when Chandragupta Maurya defeated Seleucus Nicator -- India faced 2,300 years of successive defeats against invaders ?
The 1971 War, with Field Marshal Manekshaw at the helm, the gave the Indian Army the first ever victory in a long, long time.
More than an Army Complex, it would be apt to name a Missile after him because that's what he was - a live missile with a booming warhead rather than a tame complex standing mutely.
A very good decision indeed. The great soldier's sacrifice and selfless service will inspire students who are selected/opt for Land and Air Warfare Studies to reach new heights.
