Were is the head that is held high?
by Ravi Indran on Jul 02, 2008 04:50 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

NEVER CAN THIS BREED of self centered polity do anything good for their country. Present groups at governance are clear in their actions to sell out our country. India is now at peril

Where the mind is always at fear and the head is held low in shame;
Where knowledge is perverted and never free;
Where the country has been broken up into fragments by narrow
domestic walls;
Where words come out from the depth of untruth;
Where tireless striving stretches its arms towards corruption;
Where the clear stream of reason has lost its way into the
dreary desert sand of dead habit and intolerance;
Where the good mind is led astray by thee into ever-narrowing thought
      and action--
Into this mores of freedom, did my Father dream?
When will my country awake!!!

Ravi Indran, Very good. I am sure Rabindranath Tagore, if alive today, would have fully agreed with your altered reading of his memorable poem.
I share your sentiments fully. But India will survive, it has done so against greater challenges in the past.

Learn to walk and then run..
by Suyog on Jul 02, 2008 04:29 PM  Permalink

Nuclear power and nuclear treaties are very complex things for Indian netas and people to understand... these are very technical things designed by clever and corrupt westen powers...

Before India thinks of nuclear power, it should first learn how to distribute power with minimum distribution losses..

Today a major chunk of power is lost in distribution process due to obsolete devices and corrupt consumers... (yes, consumers are also corrupt, shameless power stealers)

So, in my opinion, learn to walk properly, then talk about running and aerobics..

GOOD , MUTUAL TRUST BETWEEN SONIA AND MMS
by gurcharan nangiana on Jul 02, 2008 10:59 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

WE SHOULD APPLAUD THE COMMENDABLE WAY SONIA GANDHI AND PM HAVE BEEN WORKING, UNLIKE BJP DAYS, WHEN THEIR WAS INCESSANT DISCORD BETWEEN VAJPAYEE AND ADVANI; THEY HAVE GOOD RAPPORT, TRUST AND CLEAR CUT DELINEATION OF DUTIES; THEY ARE SUPPORTIVE OF EACH OTHER'S ROLES.

There is a good rapport between the two the kind of rapport that exists between a dog and its master. Its just a Great example of loyalty and not supportiveness.

Lead or leave?
by Bodh Ramdeo on Jul 02, 2008 08:14 AM  Permalink

Everyone the world over knows that Congress Chairperson, Shrimati S.G., is the real boss - that 'Mr Clean' MMS, the consensus candidate, the 'accidental' PM, is just a figure head, and merely her proxy. Whatever decisions are made, are made by her and her alone- the PM merely follows her orders, as any loyal obedient servant would?

sub-prime minister a more appropriate designation for MMS
by viswanatha seshadri on Jul 02, 2008 07:53 AM  Permalink

He was offered the PM's post only bec sonia could not have it hersellf. Even now, his decisions need to be confirmed by her for political recognition. Having such a sub-PM makes the country's international relations dubious. He should insist on being fullfledged PM, or resign otherwise.

Manmohan singh is not a man. A sixer...
by Ricky Gupta on Jul 01, 2008 11:11 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Sixer only take positions without any power. He is given the role of PM, that he accepted without any power. No self respected person would ever do that.

Anyway, he is another chair hungry person in India. Indians are corrupt by nature....

MMS is a decent gentleman!! Just tell me one other name amidst list of criminal MPs who can be declared clean!! Its the luck of India that Vajpayee and MMS ruled. Luck is running out and next time it could be Mulayam, Lalu or Mayawati. Then all you morons speak or try to speak - your tongue may be cut ff if u dont lick mayawatis feet..

Real Issue
by Dipak Bose on Jul 01, 2008 03:29 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

This PM does not represent India at all. People are suffering from high inflation, unaffordable house price and rents, unaffrodable medical expenses, lack of job, farmers suicides, but this PM is not at all interested about these pressing proble. He is more interested to 'save his face' to George Bush. Thus George Bush is his real boss and Sonia Gandhi is his deputy boss but the people of India have no meaning for him.
Electricity can be produced by 100 different ways, nuclear is not the only option or the cheapest option. Nuclear weapons are much more important, but this PM is very much willing to give up these.

"This PM does not represent India at all...", interesting take. But then neither do the traitorous little communist turds either. Looks like no one in power represents India.
