A Muslim is not allowed to change his religion; he will be killed. Obama's father and step-fathers are both Muslims. It is obvious he was a Muslim as a child and cannot change his religion. Is it possible to Taslima Nasreen or Salman Rushdie to change their religion. Rushdie tried, but he was then sentenced to death by Ayatollah Komeni, so he had to declare he is a Muslim. Nasreen dislikes Muslims but cannot do nothing to change her religion. In the same way Barrack Obama is trying his best to prove that he is a Christian, but he knowns very well that he is a Muslim. Thus, American Indians are supporting a Muslim as the next President.

Clinton created Taliban, wanted Russia to stop giving weapons, rockets, equipments for nuclear research to India, came to India and said, Hindu terrorists have killed Sikhs in Kashmir. How this Clinton can be our friend. American Hindus are out of their mind.
This is just an oppurtunistic gesture. Most of the American Indians are followers of RSS and they will never accept a half black, Muslim sounding name as their leader.

everywhere are the same. They back a winning horse regardless of ideologies or anything. The British ruled us for 200 years not due to their superior technology and better administration alone. They ruled us due to Indians collaborating openly with British just for the sake of few rupees. Indians have no ideologies, all Indians are like marwari only money talks, no emotions, no feelings. The equation is simple if an Indian is profited, he will support whatever it is. If McCain emerges leader, another article will come in rediff, Indians switching support to McCain. Shame on Indians. Have some ideology and back it. US backed capitalism inspite of tough opposition from Soviet Union and now tough opposition from China.

Hi Shark guy- I do not know Hindi, please post in English (or Telugu, so I can read in my warehouse somewhere in Andhra..). By the way, are you voting for Mr. empty suit (Obama) or the real war hero (euphemism for Bush's lap-dog) this November? I am hosting a 3-stooges part on election day... for all cynics like me who hate politicians. I want a politician with a Ph.D. in hard-core sciences, and an atheist, not an idiot lawyer to be the president of USA.
This article doesn't make a lot of sense. Many Indian Americans would support Obama for policies, but other than the few nut-job religious fanatics in New York, the Hanuman thing probably would make little difference to most Indian Americans who, if they are religious, don't let it blindly control their politics like Indians do in India. Additionally, Non-Hindu Indians, though not the majority, are significantly larger portions of the Indian-American population than they are in the Indian population.

I agree- does not matter who is USA president, politics as usual. It is all BS talk to get elected. After election, parties, free sex, free trips on AIRFORCE 1, the list never stops. What I mean is- all these candidates talk to get votes, then business as usual. A war here in Iran, a favorite social cause in Africa, appease he Chinese because they have the dough now (what the heck you cal their currency?).
