TN Politicians are fit to attend Cine festivals...
by vadivel r on Jun 30, 2008 01:25 PM  Permalink

Any program which is related to Cinema / Entertainment, our politicians will be there in the first row for the whole of 5 hours. I never seen a CM who attends all the Cinema film releases / casette releases. They have lot of time to suggest titles for the programs in sattellite channels, writing a screen play for movies...
Part of mistake is ours, we chose the guy from Cinema field whose whole world is nothing but cinema.. not the development of people / Country.

Shame
by Ramesh on Jun 30, 2008 01:24 PM  Permalink

Its a shame. Its an Insult.
Even People from his own clan (read, the defence forces) were absent.

Recently, the IAF , as a "gesture" , flew back Pakistan's visiting foreign minister when his mother-in-law passed!!!!!

We are sorry for you Mr Field Marshall, your sacrifices and bravery dont hold any good for the people today.

Sad ...and shameful!

Third rate politicians
by guruji on Jun 30, 2008 01:22 PM  Permalink

Had it been a bollywood celebrity these guys would have fallen head over heals to attend the funeral and be seen among the who's who. Sharad Pawar, Vilasrao Deshmukh, Karunanidhi are some of the people who come to mind when it comes to attending glam functions.
Its possible they would attend the funeral of Dawood Ibrahim or Abu Salem (if and when these guys die) so that they could appease a community.

They were envious of acheivements of Maneckshaw
by Biswajit Ghoshal on Jun 30, 2008 01:21 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

...obviously. Pratibha probably don't know that she is the suprime commander of the armed forces - 'cause Madam Sonia didn't tell her and 'cause all Pratibha cares about is how to keep Madam happy. The chiefs of the 3 forces were so envious of Sam, that they wanted to show disrespect to a man whom the Nation respects.

For all Congressmen /women (President included), the supreme commanders are three in number, mother, daughter and son. Son in law and may be their dogs can also be included in the list

DON'T WORRY. SAM BAHADUR WAS BLESSED BY THE GOD BY NOT ALLOWING THE REFERRED DIGNIFIED(?) PERSONS (BECAUSE OF WHOM OUR COUNTRY FACING LOT OF PROBLMES) TO ATTEND HIS FUNERAL. BY NOT SEEING THEIR FACES, SAM WILL LAY HIS REST PEACEFULLY. OF COURSE, HE WILL NOT HAVE CHANCES TO SEE THEM IN HEAVEN BECAUSE ALL THOSE DIGNIFIED(?) PERSONS WILL ONLY GO TO THE HELL.

ALL POLITICAL PARTIES ARE SAME
I wonder whether those of our political masters who have been put in charge of the defence of the country can distinguish a mortar from a motor; a gun from a howitzer; a guerrilla from a gorilla -- although a great many of them in the past have resembled the latter

Great salute to Manekshaw
by Nibiru on Jun 30, 2008 01:12 PM  Permalink

Great salute to Manekshaw, the great son of India.

Fld. Marshal Manekshaw was greater than any celebrities, cricketers, filmstars, policians India have ever seen.
It is shameful, but true people will always run behind fame and glamour. If VVIPs were absent for his funeral, he still lives in the mind of people.

Rascal Politicians.
by Amish Dalal on Jun 30, 2008 12:47 PM  Permalink

If a great personality of the armed service dies, our politicians will speak good words only on TV.They are double standard people who have the time to attend stupid actors who do not contribute a thing to the society. But our politicians are so faithfull to them.Bloody hell, these bugers are heartless.ONLY verbal sympathies ,nothing else.
