UPA & Left.
by Suresh Babu on Jun 24, 2008 02:28 PM  Permalink

Four years back when UPA formed to come to power, there was no such agreement that left would support N-deal with USA. Now people of this country want to know why MM Singh wants to sign this agreement and why cann't ignore this agreement.

Majdoor(MAJBOOR- Better to say)
by arun tailor on Jun 24, 2008 02:27 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

PM should represt Nation and not individual himself. I dont know why he alone is so mutch eager to do the deal. He is an economist, he should concentrate on inflation issue first. Maybe by this drama he is hiding his failure in Economic front. Whatever the deal gives the effects will come in decads of the year, but recently inflation is the burning issue, which have imidiate effects. All party leaders are making meetings just for N deal, and nobody for Inflation.

In india only there is not future planning. All want to solve the problem immediately. If we are not think about future, definietely we wont have any solution at any point.
N-deal is the very important for alteration of the oil resource. But no one has brain to accep. Manmohan is the best PM and the best economist. So only he concentrate on future. Due to our previous PM , now we are facing the oil resource problem.

Manmohan's attempt to put N-deal as Nation's first priority at the moment, whereas actually it's the inflation.

Arun Tailor is expressing his opinion that maybe it's Manmohan's way to hide behind N-deal so that he's not answerable for the current economic situation, especially for the labourers who earn daily and spend daily...

It was pretty clear to me though.... dunno what your exact doubts are

inflation is high in almost every country due to 300% hike in crude oil prices in last one and half yrs .. there is nothing to say abt economic failure, infact inspite of hike in crude , the govt has kept up the tempo for growth and achieved over 8 percent gdp growth yet again ..

Mortgage Soverignity of Country for one man
by Jitesh Kumar Agrawal on Jun 24, 2008 02:22 PM  Permalink

Why should the sovereignity of the country be mortgaged for the personal prestige of one man. Does Sonia or Rahul have understanding of International politics and aftermaths of signing such a deal???? Just because Bush patted on PM's shoulders few times and let him stay in white house, MMS thinks he has to return back that gratitute by signing the deal. The US has already started calling its shots, just look at the pressure they are putting on India(read congress and MMS) to sign the deal or else it will be dead. Why do the congress thinks that it has the absolute right to decide the future of India all alone????Why has it not come out clean with provisions of Hyde Act?????Why has it not discussed the agreement in parliament?????Why did it not allow a voting in parliament to find out how many supported the deal????? Now or 3-6 months later one thing is for sure Congress and all its allies are facing the biggest political survival challenge of there life. Parties like RJD, NCP and DMK dont want an election right now so that they can loot for some more time, its not that they are going to get as many seats as last time.

People of India thought with a dream team of MMS, Chidu and Montek Ahluwalia, India would catapult into a new era of economic development and all common man would be benifitted and look what they have delivered. Even a road side layman is better in financial management then these buggers.

PM represents India. The efficacy of the deal is not proved. What is proved is inflation ,runaway prices of real estate ,and gold . All these are common mans aspirations.
Pm should be able to put nations interest ahead of personal prestige.
When Dr Manmohan Singh took over ,I thought he was the best ,an academician ,a leader ,not a follower. Tragic my assessment has proved wrong.

An academician is never a leader. Academicians always are good in theory not in practice. Leaders always are down to earth and practical.

i would disagree with your statement... you are presupposing that academics are stiff and have their head in the clouds...

we would have probably seen only one or the other... and hence our perception tends to be biased...

Manmohan Singh
by RANGARAJAN on Jun 24, 2008 02:13 PM  Permalink

At last Mr.Manmohan Singh has got up after a prolonged silent sleep and a mute spectator and when he came to know that, every thing has gone out of his hand,he wants a reason to get out from the office. He deserves the treatment given to him by Sonia since he could never tale a decesion boldly and implement it and none of his cabinet collegues really bothered him.He will even obey to a maid servant at Sonia's residence.Enough is enough for Mr.Singh and it is the highest time he quits the office and get employed in World Bank etc.I think by now,he will be having a little self respect.Let Sonia,Raghul loot the country along with the Left parties and Indians will be a silent spectator.Only GOD can save our country.
