MMS pathetically as PM. Perform or Perish is today's mantra. He was neither a good PM nor a great administrator. As economist he failed miserably pushing india and its aam admi into shambles. Now he wants to save his prestige in front of Bush. This clearly shows that he doesn't care for commonner. If u take advice from somebody this is what happens.Goodbye SIngh! If he has little bit of concern for india he should vacate the chair immediately. He is nothing but modern SHIKHANDI.

This shows your "sick" mentality. Do you know that the famous 12 O'clock attacks by Sikh warriors saved your female ancestors from Muslim rulers so that you were born Hindu?

he has given this threat quite a few times before. Don't be fooled by this puppet who will dance to the tune of HMV.
Shame on Mannu that he is resigning on this now when he knew this so many months back.
Mannu should have resigned when congress was totally helpless to common man and created this Reservations system. If after studying at so many high universities, if he still things of castes & creed, he should have warned congress of resigning..
funny thing is elections are near and manu wants to create a drama and get some votes.
RE:He should have done it a common man was not getting anything

may be he wants to get elected atleast as a corporator in a municipality by garnering sympathy. I am sure that this drama is insufficient to get him into the Lok Sabha.
Well Done MMS ji, Aapne Dikha diya Asli PM Kaun Hai, Let Sonia Madam eat Pizza with Prakash Carrot OOPS Prakash Karat and Brinda Carrot OOPS Brinda Karat......................
I remember the story told to me in childhood about the shepherd boy trying to joke with his father that a tiger has come to harm him and his sheep. The father and the other passers by came out to support him twice when there was no tiger. But the third time he shouted "Tiger", it was real and no body bothered. MMS saying that he will resign is another such threat. He cannot have peaceful sleep until his absurd minority welfare project is through at the cost of honest majority who are reeling under high inflation and being forced to pay taxes through their nose. I wish he quits politics for good. The only positive aspect he has is his loyalty to HMV.
While MMS had done an excellent job as prime minister of India and the country certainly appreciates it, I dont think he can hold the gun and say I will go home if things dont turn my way. He should have grabbed that power in the beginning itself instead of taking a weak stand on issues. After all he is the leader of govt so things should be done the way he wants.
I see that there are hooligans working in leaking a news like this and discredit Dr Singh but I also do not agree on the current format of the nuclear deal. It is heavily one sided. Why is Dr Singh expecting everyone to support him when he did not engage in consensus building measure while negotiating the deal?
Also Dr Singh is a crown jewel son of India but you know country does not run because of one person however valuable he may be.

Crown Jewel son of India?? What rubbish. We will not allow the loss created to us due to quota. I hope UPA loses in the next elections.

Don't forget to go out and vote along with EVERYONE YOU IN THE NEXT ELECTION. Other govts may not do any good but they have not been as harmful as this one.
"The prime minister," a reliable Congress source said, "wants to save his prestige in an international forum."
It is so sad that the Prime Minister who ruled for nearly 4 and a half months is now wants to save his prestige in an international forum, since he has to meet Bush in Tokyo? Is this even a reason for signing the Nuke deal? The PM staying or going must be of the least concern to the nation. It is the nation's benefit that is supreme. And if the PM or the Congress is making an issue out of Manmohan Singh's prestige before Bush, then it is doubloy sad, since India's benefit must be the sole criteria. I am not very aware of the nuke deal and the game around it, but I just wonder why Manmohan Singh is so desparate to get the deal signed? All this appears to be an American con game. Always remember, the American mindset is an adolescent mindset, whether it is in business or in realpolitik. They always think short-term, thats why their foreign policy over the past decades vis-a-vis India has been nothing short of a joke. This mindset will increase the pressure when it feels things are in its favour. Hence, whenever the Americans increase pressure, always remember that it aint in India's benefit. It is only the Congress party that is for the nuke deal. BJP opposes it, the Left opposes it, BSP opposes it, SP opposes it, AIADMK opposes it, DMK doesnt give a camel's hoot. Why only the Congress wants it? Why not let the next govt decide on it? Why make haste?

Vishal bhai...by the way...yeh reliable source hai kaun...CPM and CPI and congress leaders who are against the deal...am i right rediff.com
The friendship with the left parties is a temporary phase and should not be taken as a permanent affair by the congress. The left parties are opportunistic and have an agenda which at best is not in the long term interest of the country. Hence its better to severe ties with them at the earliest for the congress.
But yes there are some quarters in congress as well which look at their personal gains as compared to that of the nation and the party. But then tahts waht saw the debacle of congress.
PM ready for resigning willl be a right step if he cant enforce his directions. At least he will give a personal example of selfless service and some bit of self dignity. Who knows it may be a turning point for the fortunes of congress!!!!
