Useless
by Raghu on Jun 18, 2008 04:44 PM  Permalink

A murder in someone's house is given a national headline status. This is utter useless. Media should grow up and focus on people-specific issues and not entertainment-specific ones. Almost all Hindi news channels viz. Aaj Tak, Star News etc are devoting their maximum prime-time to this news. There are entertainment channels to entertain people, news channels should realise their responsibility.

People love detective serials n this is real!
by Jai Prakash Singh on Jun 18, 2008 04:34 PM  Permalink

People r watching Aarushi case because it is creating a suspense "who is guilty". Even the serial "Karamchand" was very popular once. So, people are able to associate themselves with the case and imagining themselves as "Karamchand" or desi Shrelock Holmes. Who would like to associate to the Gujjar fools who were once kings (Raja Bhoj and many other kings) and now have come to verge of asking ST reservation instead of working hard to earn their lost reputation. Gujjars want media attention which they shall never get. Aarushi case does not need media attention but it is getting because people know well that it can happen to anybody.

Middle class crimes-Media's new love
by akumar on Jun 18, 2008 04:33 PM  Permalink

Media new love for the city(Metros) centric middle class crimes is some thing to be researched by sociologists. Now one small town murders/killings get reported or tracked. It's not that the crimes have disaapeared in small towns, only the coverage does'nt help the TRP ratings .It's one of the negative fallouts of modern day consumerism.

This is some thing like seed is first or the tree is first. People watch what is available. No one is requested media for that. Since they are broadcasting people are watching. I hate that news and I change the cahnnel whenever This murder case starts.

Well cooked story
by True Indian on Jun 18, 2008 02:57 PM  Permalink

Arushi episode... seems to be well cooked receipe. so much of media coverage.. i think the whole story is preplanned. But slowly they are moving to put the person they have decided behind bars.
1) Media gets access to the cell where krishna is kept.
2) Media talks with krishna though he is under CBI detention.
3) CBI conducts mock running excerse on Arushis house, and media is with them.
4) CBI goes and looks for the knife and media joins them with camera.
5) Media knows about what happens in lie detector test and Narco analysis test. which means CBI discloses all this information bit by bit to media.

everything is well cooked. So dont watch it... time wasting.

They are picky
by Indian on Jun 18, 2008 02:05 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

They choose the news as per there political alience. There was a attack on RSS in Wb sagara Iland by Muslim mob. It is not broadcasted in any secular medias. To name CNN IBN, NDTV. But the same news is broadcasted in BBC. How is that?

Behaviour of news channels
by Indian on Jun 18, 2008 02:02 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Choose any private news Channel and watch there news, after some time you start to feel uneasy, your tension level goes high, they try to put there hand in to your brain. That is the way they make propaganda. Before 90’s we were all happy with our good old DD. Now the competition is making the quality worse. They do not care for the moral and ethics of the society. They do not worry about the impact on the society. What they want is the news and TRP should be high.

Switch on any news channel...
Murder,rape,illegal relationships,suicides,Bombblasts,and so on.
This is what they want..
To get the publicity.. they will show only these things..
Any one news channel who doesnt broadcast these crap and show something happening good for the people..
Nobody does it..
