Media in India is no different from other parts of the world! they want sensational topics. They fabricate storeis than reporting actuals. seldom they cover some useful ones, perhaps because of this a section of public do get help. But channels must spend more time in exposing attrocities by the Governments, politicians,Police force, lawyers and courts. This will help public to stop hating channels. Hope some one from Channels see this and start thinking!
If the crime is discussed too much then it will lead to the other crimes. In other way Media is marketing of crime. They should concentrate on development of the society rather than on Rapes and murders
This is unprecedented... The Uttar Pradesh Police have sought the permission of the Chief Justice of India to interrogate 12 serving and retired judges of the Supreme Court and the High Courts. This is stupendous that no channel is showing this news. This has major implication for the nation as a whole. But no even bothers to show or put up this case. All the news channels are worried abt Khali, Arushi, IPL, Kapil Dev and Shreeshant.

And SRK stories.2 months back Sanju,Manyata and their wedding was at top but as wedding was illegal they shifted to IPL,Aarushi. The media is behaving as detectives more capable than CBI.
Arushi murder did not happen in IPL season otherwise these news channels would not have even bothered to know who is Arushi. Now there is no cricket series going on also The Great Khali is not in India and luckily no one is under a 200 meter deep bore well thats why Arushi case is getting noticed by Media.
I appreciate Media to hype this news all over the world.Becoz of this media only we can see that Police and CBI is working atleast in one case properly and Atleast CBI and Police now know that they just can't file a chargesheet on their own. If this was not the case by today Mr talwar was already chargesheeted and he would have been set free in lack of evidence and this case would have been unsolved forever..with me ?
It is a pity that the media have blown the coverage of this incident to make it the prime news in all the channels. To make matters worse, wrong news is also being reported as 'breaking news'. I feel the electronic media should show some restraint in reporting such incidents esp as it affects the lives of people concerned - unfairly. The UP police having got electronic media attention probably for the first time, made unsubstantiated charges which subsequently have proven wrong including damaging the character of the por girl who was murdered.
I feel the electronic media should adopt some self imposed censorship and be careful in their reports. They should only report if there is any specific news to report and not base on speculative conjecture! Let the freedom of the Press not be misused for getting TV viewership.

Mr. Iyer, Can you imagine parents saying that some one entered into their home at night and killed their daughter and they dont khow anything... dont blame new channels.... still now the mistery is not cleared.... This is first of incident which has happenned..inside home and parents dont know about it....so sad...
