Then Azhagiri called the press and said, "marans were sent away without meeting MK". This was just after Marans proclaiming that they met MK for his bday.

Whatever, its their family issue, at the cost of people like you and me!

i heard karuna watched kamal's dasavatharam. i hope the sooner karuna relates the movie to his political life - the better it is for him, his gang and for TN.

d m k made a tactical error in

admitting p m k during last elections

knowing fully well that p m k is

the most unreliable ally; it has paid

a very heavy price already for this error

and the decision to expel them

although belated will enable dmk

breath easy in launching developmental plans

since d m k is a party eager to

make solid performance and then seek

votes based upon its solid show.

goodluck d m k . better late than never

severance of p m k ties
by sirpi on Jun 17, 2008 07:49 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

dr ramdoss has run too fast and on too many

directions, thinking d m k is a boneless

vegetable. kudos to kalaignar

for taking this bold decision. it is

really a good riddance.

ramdoss had blocked several developmental

projects ( for reasons obvious to everyone

in this state ) like airport expansion,

satelite city, special economic zones

and also a power plant in cheyyar.

getting rid of p m k is a good signal

for the growth of tamil nadu.

three cheers to dr kalaignar.

Its time Captain emerges. Both ADMK and DMK should be kicked on their butts.

People have misplaced faith on the political parties in TN. If DMK and AIADMK have no real development plans for the state and are more inclined towards cheap populist measures and schemes to temporarily please the average gullible voter, Congress is a non-entity in the state, though a little better than the fungus like sprouts calling themselves as political parties.

The BJP and the Communists count for nothing in the state politics.

To expect that the likes of Vijayakanth or Sarath Kumar or even Rajanikanth will alter the destiny of the state is sheer delusion.

One really sympathises the politics of the state in general and the future of the populace of the state in particular.

Your expectations are so high. I say high because TN is still one of the top most states despite certain flaws in the political system. Going by your yardstick how is the BJP or Cong at the central level any better?
Both DMK and ADMK by themselves are proven administrators- although of late DMK is unable to get past the first family and extended family. Only the emergence of casteist fringe groups has made the scene murky. Get rid of all the 1-10 MLA parties including your captain. We need solid 2-4 party system, not a gathering of 30 parties supporting and pressuring the big two!

This is the problem with us tamilians. Still believing the cine life is real life. No actor is going to safeguard TN. These actors, when they lose their glamour in the cine world, turn to politics because cinema and life are unfortunately mixed so much there will be mad followers. Even God cannot save TN.

Both Jaya and Karuna are proven politicians, they have had longer tenures in politics than their so called film careers.
They are not fly by night politicians like some of the bollywood actors. And if Vijaykanth is serious let him work for it- wait 10 years go to Rajya Sabha and legislature and prove his commitment to politics before aiming for the CM slot. And that is precisely what the TN public expects from him. TN does not rewards shortcuts or family connections like what happens in Congress party.

Ramdoss Tactful Politician
by Anand on Jun 17, 2008 07:44 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Mr. Ramdoss is a very clever politician. Just before parlimentary election he smelt that UPA can not come back to power. Now he will join with NDA and his son will become a minister. But his allegations against Karunanidhi cannot be sidelined. He is the first to demand the suspension of free TV distribution involving Huge expendtiture of 2500 crores and asked to divert that amount towards reducing the fuel cost.Naturally Karunanidhi got hurt bcos he has already taken commission from TV manufacturers and he promptly jettissioned PMK from alliance.

Once a man becomes wealthy he has access to everythin.
.
still to categorise him/her under a category is politics and serves no devolopmental purpose.

reservation system in india has lost its way and has become a political weapon.

u have it and use it , u are a leader and the nation pays for it

It is for SUPPRESSED and OPPRESSED just because they are denied to access education. This led to poor status. More than 80% of vannyars are still under poverty line.

OK, dismiss the minority DMK govt.
Now, its time Captain acts quicker and prepares to face election again!

If these parties have real guts, let them contest in elections as standalone parties!

Have had enough with co-alition govt, both central and states!

Karnataka had its show, now its TN's turn!

Have guts, be daring like Captain!

Why not give a chance to someone who wants to do a lot, and above all Captain is secular!

Afterall, these DMK, AIADMK, PMK are all parties who count their vote banks on caste, religion, etc.
Have ripped the people off enough in the past 5 decades!
