Tamilians, other than bemoaning and criticizing their plight, keep electing the same political leaders and the Drama parties, where outward show (putting up a myriad statues) is more important than substance. If they are really serious about good administration, why not they elect Dayanidhi Maran as the next CM. He is young,(does not walk on crutches !,) dynamic, has global exposure (Intel, USA) and is result oriented, as seen during his days as Telecomm- unications Minister at Delhi. Put him up as an independent and make him win, if you are really serious. Enough of this grandpa, son politics. The problem with people of Tamilnadu is that they want change but yet are not ready to make a break with the past. The two are absolutely contradictory.

i support a young and dynamic leader as Mr Maran as well, but the problem is Maran is educated,civilized and a good administrator-qualities of a good leader. However to survive in Indian politics one has to be a goon, have muscle power and behave like uncivilized barbarians, which i doubt if Mr Maran will be capable of.
No wonder, Azhagiri, who is known for his violent nature and influence amongst goons is making rapid inroads in TN leadership.

Its a trend in TN with regards to government, its flip flop between a A & plain DMK. so either party dont worry about poll prospects. 5 years in full swing & 5 years in moderate earnings. Its good life.

Though now I stay in bangalore ,I feel sad that the place where I was born(TN) has disowned us thanx to some crazy politics and crazy theories.
Not just me lakhs of brahmins have migrated rite frm early 80's some in other states and many to other countries.We cld have contributed so much but seems like even now we are very much hated by most sections in TN.

People say that we have commited crimes and suppressed the other caste.But dont forget the upper caste are not brahmins but all powerful caste whether vanniyars,jats,patils,kamma's,bhandari and host of other upper caste but just because they are numerically dominant they got themselves OBC tag.
Even today u will see that most crimes on dalits,sc/st people are commited by these upper caste people(now OBC's) but just brahmins have to suffer because they are in smaller nos.

Well Karunanidhi's end began the day he came to power. So its got nothing to do with Vanniyar / PMK crap. If PMK was the sole rep of the Vanniyar they how come there are so many vanniyar's in other parties.
