How can people demand seperate land for their community? Are they not Indians?Actually everybody has taken Indian system for granted. UP is demanding seperate Eastern UP as state,in future MP, Rajasthan,Gujrat etc will demand for seperate states. Bangladeshis will demand for IndianBangla desh, and so on.... Its highly frustrating time for all of us. Inflation...petrol prices....Quota...Terrorism...list may go never ending. Are Politicians and people who are called 'Bharat Bhagya Vidhata' are initiating for chaos and total lawlessness in this country???

Then how do you justify the formation of the current states like WB for Bengalis, Jharkhand for Jharkhandis and so forth? WB is a failed state and without doubt hill people do not need to suffer from these commies.
The demand for Gorkhaland is fully justified by its people as everybody in this world know how difficult life is with communist.The world over people living in commie nation or state know that it is inhuman life compared to capitalist states.No exception to gorkhaland people.The brutal commie has no choice other than to be brutal.

kanigom for the last 20 years decision about the hill districts darjeeling/kalimpong/karseong and all development works there are taken care of by the darjeeling Gorgha Parbatya Parishad a body headed by the Gorkha leader Subhash Ghisingh (Bimal Gurung the Janamukti Morcha supremo was a loyalist of this guy). They were in charge of all development works in that region.
They fooled the gorkhas, they instigated the Gorkhas against the state government and put money in their pockets.
No one, I repeat no one in India can ever point any finger to the patriotism of the Gurkhas. They are revered by everyone for their honesty and integrity. Being one from Kolkata I have full respect for thr Gorkhas.. Gorkhas are people who are ruled by their hearts. Thats their main problem now. Unfortunately they have fallen prey to the cunning politicians like Ghishing and now Gurung, who are playing with their sentiments and trying to fill their pockets..

what was the state govt. doing when they knew Mr Ghising and his team was fooling the Gorkha people?? Is there something called good governance or rajdharma to be ever practised by these communists??? they always fail to govern and later on claim that their act was a mistake. Actually its our greatest mistake toelect them..... they only understand a dead theory.... nothing more...

A little correction: Tell to Gorkhas to get out of India and go to Nepal. Merging would mean merging the part of land in India with Nepal. So GET OUT GORKHAS, if you cant take this country as yours!

Dont be so complacent. Gorkhas had defeated Indian rulers and taken over what is today Gorkhaland and Sikkim so they are not refugees. They are locals very much and very much Indian. They do not want to be with commies which is a very justified demand

Kumar I dont think they will hear you from here in Rediff. How about you go to the hills and tell the Gorkhas all this personally ? Do you know the way ? Find a map, see where Darjeeling is and where Nepal is.
The GJM should rather demand a separate nation of Gorkhaland. This will lead to anti-partition riots and lots of news coverage. The new country will then have strained relations with India. They will be at war and there will be a war movie on it!!!
With separate statehood demands in every nook and corner of the country, it leaves one wondering wether we will be 1000 states like states ruled by individual kings of past centuries.

You waste heaps of money to advertise 'Incredible India', I suggest to put a not taking no responsibility for loss of someones dream holiday which is planned year ahead. Shame that 2nd biggest army in the world cannot handle or manage with small amount of people doing bandh
