Communists' days are numbered in India as well as in world.China played smart and moving towards Capitalism.

This constipated looking man will have to eat his words.Period.

See this is the charm of Democracy where communists are surviving but can you imagine a Communist country in which any state is run democratically.

'Sooner or later, India would come in Left grip'
by Ravi A on Jun 16, 2008 04:07 PM  Permalink

This is one of the most downgraded interviews I have read. What shit statement's Bardhan is making. It is sheer BULLSHITTING.Communism all over World is a failure & even the China known for its stubborn closeness to Communism had to change & open its arms to Capitalists. This guy might be in his dream World that India would be in the grips of Leftists - what an absurd comment by such a senior comrade !!! Well his audacity is too unbearable. He says BJP has named someone as its Prime Ministerial Candidate. Atleast show some respect to other parties - Advani is not a small person - definitely better than Bardhan. He further says - so what if BJP has won some states We have also won. But CPM is never able to break the barriers of Kerala & W Bengal. How can it be called a National Party - they just want to support Congress & enjoy all benefits without getting involved in Govt. running. Greatest opportunists under the Sun are CPM party & its cadre. I am sure in the coming elections the voters should kick out CPM / CPI altogether & preferably it should be one party rule either Congress or BJP. If it is going to be coalition with 15 parties - then even Great personalities like Manmohan Singh will be failures. I feel Congress should get full majority & give Manmohan Singh a second term to prove his merits - he would then be one of the Greatest PMs India has ever seen.

'Sooner or later, India would come in Left grip'
by raman govindan on Jun 16, 2008 04:07 PM  Permalink

around 1947-52, india was an fuedal and agricultural society, and around 80 percent of the people were poorer, education was lesss than 10%. Left could not succeeed then. with modern globalization, and opportunities for growth visibile enough for individuals, corporate and business and the employment that generates, the chances for left's success is minimum. even China had given up on left's ideology and tuned to national interest and freemarket. A B Bardhan and his comrades are dreaming

If the NAXALS are not eliminated
by Indian on Jun 16, 2008 04:06 PM  Permalink

If NXALS are not eliminated chances are bright. Naxals are working with cummis in hand in a glove like. The real supporter is cummunist for naxals. The second cover is from human rights actvists/organisations. They shout when Naxals are killed but they keep quite when Naxals are killing innocent people. As per a top Police officers there are many Human rights actives who are actually Naxals. Now you can see what happened in Nepal. Thet might have been the force for Bardans talking.

I agree with Mr A B Bardhan
by Pranab M on Jun 16, 2008 04:03 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Left should get the job of maintaining all electronic voting machines in India , I am sure then left will win election in all parts of India
In kerala, west bengal left wins by 50% vote even though only 40% people have turned to vote

In Panchayat election I heard that ballot boxes were used in lieu of EVM and hence left lost in many places as they were not prepared for this.

I've seen elections in Kolkata for years, and also in the surrounding towns too. For all the big words Bardhan and his cronies use in the Media, yu can see children voting there and mass rigging taking place everywhere. I guess the Media likes the eccentricity, irrationality and the obnoxiousness of there views and ways. Tht's all they are good for.
