Stop blaming politicians
by imran patel on Jun 16, 2008 07:13 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Unless, we as the people of this nation reject failed policies and kick these bumbs out of office...they will keep dreaming of coming to power and be a cancer to our society.

They must be defeated soundly in elections.

We do not seed more populist appeal. We need to have a coalition of sound economic minds from all corners of the country that believe in free market economy, that treasure individual freedom and believe that government involment is not the answer but part of the problem.

For this to happen, we need to get over the illusion of a cradle to grave government care.

One thing I do not understand is, we all know that politicians are corrupt, inefficient SOBs. So why do we put faith in the government and expect government to make things better when the government is run by the same people whom we do not trust.

The government is a pool of the worst parasites. We cannot get rid of it (we need it in some cases), but we can minimize the role of government.

What the LEFT wants to do is to have bigger governments. Which means less freedom and choice for individuals. How can we trust these "Good for nothing" politicians with our lives, our future, our children, our money, our health, etc.

But unless we wake up and reject these people and their ideas, we are doomed.

It is a wake up call to all my fellow citizens.

What choice do we have ? We have to choose the least evil one and that is not easy, considering there is hardly a pin to choose betwen the different political parties.

Communists
by Innovator on Jun 16, 2008 07:12 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I was not a communist, but always admired the communists for their courage of conviction. Promod Dasgupta or EMS were men of sterling character. Men with their strength of character are no more available with the Communist Parties. Who all we have now? Pinarai Vijayan. This great character should be in jail for all the money he has made from different deals, and the party cannot do a thing against him. He has the money and the muscle to browbeat any one who opposes him. Bardhan has no reason to be optimistic. The enrollment in the communist parties has dwindled. I foresee only a decline in their presence and influence in the country.

So, Bardhan expects India will support CPI/M to allow more terrorists and jehadis into India?

I fully agree with you my friend. These commies had turned a once vibrant city of Kolkata into a dying one within 10 years of their rule. They are now trying to change a bit with the new pragmatic chief minister, but he too works in a typical dictatorial style, and does not believe in democratic consensus. Not that I am against economic migration of Indian citizens from one part of the country to the other, but I definitely feel that many more Bengalis could have been gainfully employed in West Bengal itself had not the economic development taken a back seat in these 3 decades of communist rule. They cling on to power using the most vile forms of rigging and terror mechanisms, and have created an army of leftist cadres in the bureaucracy and government machinery.

Well said. There was a time when 9 out of 11 CPIM secretariat members IN WB HAIL FROM BARISAL. No offence meant-these people hijacked WB culture.

Question for voters to ask themselves...
by imran patel on Jun 16, 2008 07:03 PM  Permalink

Here is a simple question that I urge voters to ask yourself before voting for any individual.

"What would this individual be doing in his life if he was not a politician ?"

If you cannot answer that question, then that person is a bumb and your are putting a bumb in office.

We need people who are "Achievers" in their personal life. Who have a track record of making things happen.

Do not blame the politicians. We put them in office.

by secret on Jun 16, 2008 07:03 PM  Permalink

Left in India has NO future...its a party left out from main strean politics..their influence in WB and Kerala are owing to coercieve techniques and atrocities a la the Nandigram kind....

they have proven to be bigger liars like the erswile glasnost leaders of USSR..

Communism is an idea that has lost its relevance and even China is a Capitalist in the cover of communism.
