George Bush is president doesnot bother to tell 260 times lie to his nation. It is alredy proved that he attacked Iraq because of oilin false cause-WMD.We should not make any deal to that kind of presidentwho is not truthful to his nation.

Is this some kind of aristocracy? Next demand will be only IIM folks should vote and elect government. First, there needs to be transparency on how IIM selects students. I have come across IIM pass outs who are good for nothing. Note - I am not saying all who pass out are good for nothing. There clearly are many brilliant folks there. But, a section of the society cannot and should not decide on the functioning of the country. Responsible citizenry is the key to proper governance of the country, for which primary (proper) education should be provided to all.
Why the congress government doesnot disclose the positive and negative points of the deal let the people of india decide if the deal is useful for india or not. The demand of power is increasing in India so we need more resources fpr power generation, on the same hand the defense cannot be compromised as we have all hostile nations around us, at present Asia is the most unstable region. I think there is some hidden clause in the deal which MMS doesnot want to disclose. Now guys no secrecy type of answers that its for the security reasons etc. If china can publish their nuke deal with US officialy there is no clause of hiding something as we are directly concerned with the deal.
The Indian Government should analyse all aspects of this deal before blindly signing. Congress is showing an undue urgency and putting forward all sorts of arguements in favour of this deal. Not a single treaty with USA had been beneficial to India earlier and it would remain to be so in future also.
Rather than shelling out so much money for this, divert the same amount in exploiting the Uranium reserves India is having and also exploit the full potential of the Hydro power option and thermal power option too.
At least if our intelligent politicians of all the parties could take the country to the present state of affairs we can very well spent another few years in giving time to our scientists and physicists for finding out a better option. The sky will not come down.

What do you mean by undue urgency you moron? Do you know that we are running out of time? We have to ratify the deal before Bush goes out of power. We have wasted enough time in analysing all aspects. NOW is the time to sign the deal without blinking. The deal is good for India.

So you think that you are more patriotic than Manmohan singh? or do yo think you know more about nuclear technology than him? The deal provides us with the civillian nuclear technology than we can use for our future energy demands. If China has gone ahead with the same deal why cant we?
RE:The US-India Nuclear deal
by atindra shukla on Jun 12, 2008 10:52 AM Permalink
We are not here to do whatever China does. First of all MMS is no expert either on Nuclear aspect nor on energy demands so stop just using his name to justify the deal. We can build our own civilian nuclear energy infrastructure on the basis of Thorium based reactors in coming 7-10 years easily. Once you sign uranium based N-technology you are dependent on the cartell of uranium supplying countries like Australia, Canada and USA and they can twist our arms easily. India can cope with its energy demands by using alternative sources meanwhile, like Solar, Wind and bio-fuel options. N-deal is going to curtail our freedom of our military nuclear program and that is must for deterence against pak and china. Instead of shouting like a kid in the classroom comeup with your own opinions and ideas.

The deal has plenty of positive and negative aspects, which you can learn through different websites and newscasters. Irrespective of time restrictions, it needs thorough study.
historically speaking the nuclear deal has a background of 1974 when the ban was imposed by usa on india when it tested its nuclear capability during congress regime with a different set of equations US-PAK-CHINA not palatable to india while again the test was done in 1998 during BJP regime which was reacted sharply by PAK and other nations followed the process of banning supplies to INDIA but it was purely a scientific test of nuclear capability with lesser political overtones which was made clear to relevant institutions which understand india ' s position vis-a-vis other nation . when economics/political/administrative/diplomatic/cultural/social/national and international issues are surfaced before a dea ls signed every nation has its own pace of working out the terms and condition and objectives to be understood and percolated to the people of india which has hardly been done and no preparation or home work is done to initiate such an important deal in a national interest with hardly any leadership available both in congress and bjp who can lead the nation in signing the deal which has already gone delayed due to all the reasons discussed hence we should have first the leadership of high status with a record of services credibility power and position of honour and true patriotic nature before taking the nation and world community in confidence while us may understand the reasons of delay but the opportunities never last for long time and time waits for none when two n

Stop spamming msg board with repeatitive messages. We know your brain is spammed with communism and anti-indianism.
Poor countries like India and Pakistan should get Minority Quota for Uranium. India should fight for a free Quota for back-word countries or 3rd world countries in the world for getting free Uranium from Australia.
