everything happenned only after bjp formed the govt???

think it must be the gowda-cong combination which must be behind this violent agitation...

bjp should also come out with steps to address the shortge as it is a matter of daily livelihood for the farmers...

this is politics ... for years BJP has been in opposition critisizing the govt. for everything .. now they realize that it is not easy to run the state ... now they again start critisizing the opposaition for being critical of their administration.

whatever BJP themselves did for years, now when it is being done to them, they do not like it ... LOL

I think the opposition is doing its job ... that's what they are there for .. to be critical of the govt.

Congress and JD should accept their defeat gracefully and act as a responsible opposition instead of instigating riots for trivial issues. They also should prevail upon their central government to make arrangment for fertilizer at the earliest.

by accepting the immature acts of the opposition, governance has lost its significance...

if one can keep the opposition quiet (by hook or crook), then there is future in the next elections => this is the mentality of politics...

criticism and "tit for tat" are different things...

opposition does not mean that they have to simply keepon harping against the govt.

you have to see it from voters mentality .... what matters to them ... it's not whether an issue was solved but whether an issue was raised to attention .... the opposition is least interested in solving the problem, but they want to highlight the govt's shortcomings so they can tell the people ... look what you've elected to power, we are so much better.

raising a point can be done tactfully and in so many ways... rather than an agitation...

this would imply that, in order to gain attention, the easiest way is to agitate or riot...

problems will come; the world is not perfect... and neither can all problems be fixed overnight...

and again, the intent of the opposition is not always to highlight the problem so that it may be rectified... rather it is to highlight the shortcomings which can then be utilised to its advantage...

congress has lost its cool...

This article seems to have been written wihtout much care, the sole intention being to trouble the BJP givt. Fertilizer shortage has been a common thing in Karnataka for years now. The author write rubbish about NPK being a fertilizer, 1.1 tonnes being the shortage etc. Teh author should have done some more research on the matter, instead f writing such nonsense.

Go to farmers door step and distribute Fertilizer..
by kaladhara saralaya on Jun 11, 2008 03:46 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

To cobat the situation turning ugly, the best thing BJP should do is ask APMC officials to go door to door of farmers and take indent from each house hold. Depending on the availablilty, distribute the fertilizer whenever they get stock at the farmers door. Through media advts, keep informing farmers about the stock arrival and distribution dates. This way we can avoid black marketting, hoarding and consequential shortage. Definitely Cong & JDS will be trying to desttabilise the BJP any given opportunity.
This way farmers are will be know the situation and roumers will not work.
Mr Yeddy ,, are you redaing this message?

Dear Sony

U need to understand that every party is backed by the traders and the money lenders and the biges of various industries. U pointing fingers at one party doesnot solve the problem. U need to have a stable govt and the problem of fertilizer is not only in karnataka but it is across, and the opposition is trying to take advantage, in this situation even if Cong or JDS govt was there they would have also faced the same issue. Unfortunatly the politics plays dirty here with JDS and CONG facing a defeat they would want to destablize the BJP. The middle man is playing the game here, its know for years, every body out there is looking for making fast money and easy money. All the traders are rich only because the farmers pay them the high price.

Don't take partyline. Idea given is to help the farmers. APMC is not private traders. Govt has stake in it. If they wish thye can do it. Of course BJP must find a solution since they have not been elected by traders, but by the poor people

All hindi news channels barring few are CRAPS.

1. India TV, biggest crap of all
2. Aaj tak, close second
3. Star News, sometimes drama, sometimes news
4. Zee News - a little better

India TV and Aaj Tak shows programs only for illiterates who know nothing about the world. the way they present is really horrible these guys are really pathetic. this india tv fellow should be ashamed of what they are doing and showing.

just look at this :

1. Aarushi ka gala kaat diya gaya
2. Uske sir ke tukde tukde kar diye gaye
3. Uka kaatil kasaai tha

and they were showing this in big bold fonts and telling this so loudly that it was intolerable to people who didn't know this girl.

i wonder how the family members of Aarushi take this !! same kind of things on Aaj Tak.

These program co-ordinators and editors have no sense. they only want to sensationalise things for trps. god knows who watch such such filthy shit programs after seeing these PROMO's !!

these channels are really a shame.
they don't show news as news, but as some entertainment program and pastime. what crap.

The cameraman is there to do his job. His job is to report and take pictures and not help the injured. If all news cameraman began to help the injured, who will bring us the news.

don't blame the cameraman, he has a job. his job is to show the police brutality to the rest of us .... if he starts helping victims instead of doing his job, who will tell us about the police brutality.

if the cameraman was there on the street doing nothing, yes, he would be a good samaritan to take the injured to the hospital

Godfather,

the point that LS is trying to convey is this:

if you want to look at it in a humanitarian way then all those who were present are to be blamed, so dont just blame the cameraman...

second, in saying that the cameraman should have helped him, you are concluding that he is just a passer by who takes up the camera only for his personal interest...

those who were present include all sections - the police, media and the agitators themselves... why didn't anybody of them help the injured?

if at all you want to accuse somebody, then pls do it properly...
