Police dept
by drunken monk on Jun 11, 2008 11:08 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I ve been observing that most crimes are happening in north especially areas in and around delhi, gurgaon, haryana. is that a gene problem to be more aggressive? for men there or is the ladies exposing too much skin to make create a urge in men? in comitting these type of crimes. or is the law and order is not good enough? People who should be protective to the society, are doing this kind of shit is a shame to police department.

I think police dept especially whichever police station it has happened or wherever, throw the bad apples out. dont require this kind of animals as protecting source.

Police, in India, has merely become the dept for the service and security of politicians, both in govt and oppo, since they exchange places often after elections, police playing safe to please both sides. High-quality IPS selections on exams limited; most state police get selected by politicians, promoted into IPS or equivalent jobs, hencevtheir loyalty only to politicians, not for impartial maintenance of oeder as per law in society. Police services in each state should be taken out of govt control, placed under the seniormost state-high-court judge assisted by the atate home-secretary and advised by a an army general in the region. Ex-servicemen should be taken into police after retirement, allowed to join IPS waiving agelimits for exams. Politicians should make their own security arrangements. Criminals will then avoid politics. Only pres, vp, PM, govs, CMs may be given formal army's protection in ceremonial functions and meetings with foreign dignitaries. Clear separation of police from the political executive will attract better people into police service and give real protection to civil state under law.

THATS COZ ALL THREE ARE RULED BY CONGRE$$.

GO TALK TO ANY I.B GUY WHO SANITIZES LOK-SABHA, RAJYA-SABHA, PARLIAMENT, OR,
WHO IS INCHARGE OF SECURITY OF OUR CITIES' STRATEGIC AREAS:

HE'LL TELL U THESE RAPISTS ARE RIGHT-HAND-MEN OF THE PEOPLE AT OUR CENTER.

THATS WHY NO COP OR OFFICER IS DOING ANYTHING AGAINST THESE `RIGHT-HAND MEN`...I MEAN, DO THEY WANT TO LOSE THEIR JOBS? DO THEY WANT TO GET TRANSFERRED TO KASHMIR/ASSAM/NAXAL AREAS BY THE CONGRE$$ CENTER?

New Delhi, June 11: A rape convict who shares his name with the late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru today left the Supreme Court frowning.
The apex court observed that such culprits had no right to share names with exalted national leaders.

"You have committed a rape and share the name with Jawaharlal Nehru? It is a disgrace for the national ethos," a vacation bench of Justices Arijit Pasayat and P P Naolekar observed.

The apex court which reserved its judgement on the alleged rapist Nehru alias Jawahar, remarked that it was high time that something was done to change the names of criminals who have their names after national icons.

"We think it is time we should do something on this issue," said the bench in an oral observation.

The bench also expressed its displeasure over some lapses in a medical report submitted by a doctor in the case.

"We feel the Government should proceed departmentally against the doctor for giving such a report," the bench observed while reserving its judgement

The Punishment should be stronger. Those who are guilty should be tried for murder also(including the people who did not investigate the case seriously) as they are the reason behind a mothers death. I am feeling sorry for the daughters who has to go through such a pain in this lawless, uncivilised country.

Rape in Hryana
by sanjay singh on Jun 11, 2008 10:51 PM  Permalink

Transferring the policemen will not be sufficient .The guilty should be punished strongly to deter them from commiting heinous crimes. Law unfortunately has ceased to be deterrent for riminals which is i guess is the primary job of juidiciary .Indian legal system needs to be oberhauled..

Incidents uglier than the one of Rohtak victim, are happening everyday in the country, which go unreported.
In this particular case, the incumbtant C.M. Bhupender Hooda and his son Depinder Hooda, who is M.P. from Rohtak, should hang their heads in SHAME,which they will not do.Paying from Govt. exchequer does not absolve them of the guilt.Their God fathers are in Delhi and not Haryana.Chaudhry

Confiscate property and all benefits of the erring officials, apart from punishment
by Demo-crazy on Jun 11, 2008 10:39 PM  Permalink

This is also one of the many cases of police brutality and apathy of administration. Will the firebrand minister from Centre, Renuka Choudhary, show the same concern for the victim here and take action against the Haryana Government and speak up? We saw her public spirited concern in the case of Aarushi.

To ensure that these decisions are not partisan, we need the administration to reach in ALL such cases with equaly concern (or do they want to say with equal apathy!).

Apart from prison term or any other punishment the court may decide for the erring policemen(and their officers who collude or help silence the victim), they should ALL be dismissed, their employment benefits withdrawn and property confiscated by the government. 75% of it should be given to the victim's family. 25% should go to welfare funds targeted for orphans. This will act as a deterrent against such policemen and their bosses.

Policemen raping in Haryana
by Ramakrishnapillai Nair on Jun 11, 2008 10:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Every chief minister should take a cue from this. Policemen raping is like the fence eating the crop. The accused should go behind bars for a life time, nothing less will justify the sin they committed. The entire polce force except a very few like Kiran Bedi is corrupt to the core.

behind bars for a life time? You must be joking.

They should be executed for the crime they do to the women. That will be a lesson to anyone who wod even think of doing such a shameful act.

Inconsequential gestures
by Cool Customer on Jun 11, 2008 10:34 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Transfers and suspensions remain the age old police's machanism to deal with public pressure. It has solely symbolic value with temporary discomfort to the culprits.

Indian police should develop fast track 'court martial' style enquiries and action that not only punish the person heavily, but ensure they are prosecuted to the maximum by the law.

These culprits deserve severe punsihments because not only oftheir crime, but because of they trample the embodiment of trust on law. These guys on the contrary remain on suspension that is a soft punishment and reflects badly on the department's seriousness to put its house in order.

All their benefits - PF, EPF, etc should be confiscated apart from all the assets in their name as a severe punishment to these officials, in addition to the criminal justice they deserve from the courts. Only when the are made to pay through their nose, the officials will probably learn that breaking law is not good for them. And then they will not bend before a politician or help them when they break a law.
