India has a HUGE hand in what happened in Nepal
by mirror on Jun 12, 2008 03:10 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

India 's intelligence agencies played a big part in the dethroning of the king. Most of the support that the Maoists got was from India only!! India has always wanted to keep Nepal as a poor and backwards country. Most Nepalese think that India was also behind the murder of the previous king Birendra and his family. Ever since the pundits at Pashupathinath mandir at Kathmandu refused entry to Rajiv's newly wed Italian Bahu Sonia(for not being a Hindu), Indian govt had developed an animosity towards Nepal. But still there are many Indians who are shedding crocodile tears but we wont be fooled again.

Just goes to show in how much low esteem the people of Nepal have come to think of India.

And just goes to show how history is repeating itself, considering what we did for Bangladesh in 71.

Its wrong to think India has a role in dethroning of the India. Maoists are in itself destabilizing forces in India.

Its sad to see the last Hindu king step down as an ordinary citizen. I hope the King and his descendants get their due respect and honour which they deserve, from the Nepali public now and in the future.

India will not and cannot indulge in such things of conspiracy and hatching for dethronement of any ruler. So far,no instances of such dubious distinction on the part of Indian Govt have conme to the fore irrespective of as to which ever political party ruled it.It is only a wild guess that since Sonia was refused entry into "Pasupthinath" Temple,Indian intelligence had hatched it.The guess does not hold water if one recalls that an Indian daughter who was one in the slain band also was a part of the royal family. First of all,Indian intelligence is not the personal propery of any political party or leader to act/ settle scores and vendetta of an individual.Secondly,we never wished that Nepal, our neighbour should remain poor always;wishing so is inimical to our own interest, as what we see in case of an impoverished Bangla Desh,a poor neighbour always is a security threat with nuisance value by posing formidable problems like infiltration. It is true that some of the Hindus might be, in the heart of heart, feeling sorry for a simple fact that the lone "Hindu"govt in the world has vanished out of the scene only to give a way to Maoist rulers who are nothing but the hench men of China. All the concoction as to the role of Indian Govt in routing out Mahendra's family could as well be a handi work of an antogonist of "Hinduism" to express all his resentment against Hindu religion also. With chinese agents ruling Nepal,we need to be careful with one more neighbour too.

Yah!!How stupid and ridiculous it is!!It shows as to what extent the quality of editing in rediff dips to and the perfunctory release of images!Oh!God!Just because the word "Nagarjuna' happens to figure unmindful of the preceding "moves" and the succeeding"palace",perfunctorily, rediff fellows flashed the images of film actor "Nagarjuna!!It is astonishing to note that such a howler should be committed by rediff, the only dot.com site of news, which till now acquired a name for promptly releasing the Indian news.It is time for rediff to thoroughly edit the news/pictures before they are put on the net lest it loses its image and credentials. One more disquieting feature observed ,of late, leaving news of international importance that appear in Yahoo or Cnn like, rediff is wasting its precous air space and readers time with news of surveys and their findings which often are unreliable and confusing for the readers particulaly in the wake of the fact that no two surveys adopt same parametres and even if they adopt, they are not standard.

Hi Greatbush:

Hope it comes marching into India too, at some date in distant future...

Her Highness Madame Sonia Gandhiji, her Prince Charming and their future off-springs need to be shown the door in this democratic world.

US is supporting Saudi Monarchy. It is not according to any Islamic law. Most Muslims believe it should go.

I know Muslim bashing is your intention. But just FYI, in sixth century, there were no such monarchies.
