The Student Islamic Movement of India (Simi) on Tuesday asked the Special Tribunal to lift the ban on the organisation as there are no fresh cases against it. The counsel for the Simi, Mr Mobin Akhtar, said "The police are targeting two families from Hyderabad in a terror case. They are Moulana Naseeruddin and Mohatasim Billa."
The Special Tribunal, which was held at the Hyderabad District Collectorate, was headed by the Delhi High Court judge , Justice Gita Mittal. Police inspectors Mr N. Ganesh, Mr Mohammed Jameeluddin and Mr Sadique Ahmed filed affidavits seeking continuation of the ban. Mr Akhtar said, "In all the cases placed before the tribunal, the name of Simi was not mentioned directly. There are no fresh cases against the organisation. The case of Billa pertains to 2004. In his confession statement, Billa said he knew a few Simi members but he was not a member of the organisation. Confessions before the police is always questionable."
Another counsel for Simi, Mr Jawahar Raja, cross-examined the witnesses and alleged that the confession statements are concocted and none of the Simi activists are involved in violence

To me every muslim as in the rest of the free world is under survelliance, so should it be in India. We have ISI pumping 1 Billion USD for terrorist activities in India from ALL sided.
Every LOYAL Indian citizen regardless of religion Should be a vigilante tp prvent death of innocent people. SIMI is not a social, political or a relgious group--its purely a terrorist group under LET etc.
I dont like BJP... but simply hate UPA for creating a divide between Indian people by highlighting religion caste and regions. BJP is sure to form the next govt. and its entire credit should go to UPA gov.t's policies and political messes
i think it is the hindu luck, ie the bad luck. it seems like there always is some guy who spoils it for the hindus. nehru got in a place that cried out for patel's leadership at the most critical juncture. the damage continued for 6 decades. then came lucknow nautanki vajpayee, a man half asleep (many suspect alcoholism), walking like a baby. this damage will go on for another 40 years; the fact that guys like rajnath singh can hang around the corridors of power is proof enough already. rajnath can't win a bjp govt in his own home state of u.p. and yet presumes to be all india leader. is he an elected m.p. himself? or does he ride along like mm singh, the congressi pm? i would like to know.

All political parties are same under the skin. Only the colour of their flag differs. Corruption in independent India was started by Congress party (Jeep Scandal - VK Krishna Menon, Haridas Mundra-LIC Scandal - TT Krishnamachary, Bofors, Howitzer,..........endless list, the President of BJP was caught on camera accepting bundles of notes, the Dalit queen had amassed wealth of more than 52 crores, even the Communist parties are not free of this malaise...........what to speak of other parties??????????? Only fools like us fight for these parties!

This sort of problem arises due to segretation of people in the name of caste, creed, colour,religion, region, etc. India is a secular democratic country where equality before law is guaranteed by the Constitution.
Of course the followers of Islam and Christianity ridiculing out native culture day in and day will not go down well with the majority community. BJP is taking advantage of that.
SADLY you are very right...hopefully after the last defeat on account of over confidence it would have matured and be more watchful of 'tahelka' type of scandals. Its better of the two evils. It certainly NEEDS to clean up its act. George was the first to declare China as enemy number ONE, may not be that impressive otherwise.

Is there any Pakistani Ram, English Ram, American Ram, or a stupid Indian calling himself Ram. Ram was a person of compassion, humility, emotional, but not contemptuous. I rather deal with a person who has tears in his eyes, when it comes to it, than a person who has no emotions and is a hardliner-dictator.
