IDENTITY OF SIMI ACTIVISTS
by damodaran mohan on Sep 11, 2008 01:37 PM  Permalink

It is seen that these activits keep changing their names to confuse the police.Accordingly it becomes essential that "Biometric" identity of all those detained and even of complete ex-SIMI activists be made and computerised. These details can be shared by various state govts. investigating agencies though special dedicated networking. It will reduce harrassment of innocent youths.

Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) was formed in Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh) in April 1977. In the last 10 years SIMI has been slapped with several bans and scores of its members put behind bars. In the last 17 cases against SIMI, all accused people have been acquitted. Former SIMI president Shahid Badr Falahi was arrested in three cases and has been acquitted in all. The last time he was acquitted was in July 2006.

They say, government don't provide enough "proof" to justify ban on SIMI....
why don't government presented all articles on rediff about SIMI? It "reveals" their working, ideology, modus oprandi and "guess and opinons" of " Investigation agencies"...Infact recent " Indian Mujahideen" was suppose to be SIMI VERSION 2.0
what else they want???

SIMI - GUILTY TILL PROVEN INNOCENT
by Spread TheWord on Aug 06, 2008 12:40 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

The High Court has clearly stated that the evidence submitted by the prosecution (read Government) is just not sufficient. The Prosecution had 7 years and all the Government's powers and yet it could not provide the required proof.
All arrested and detained by the police have lost 7 years of their lives and they have to start all over again. The hardship, torture and harassment they have faced!
WHAT will recompense them??

We should recompense them, by hanging them publicly? Is that good or, need to stone on them and brutally kill them?

Which option is better..? And also few supporting politicians of this country.

Am not specifying the names which are genuinely good guys.

Seems like the majority think the HIGH COURT is wrong in its judgement.
Thats how much respect we have for the law of the land.
All the commentators want the SIMI to be hanged when the HIGH COURT has exonerated them.
Good - We dont hang people by public opinion!!

I advise SIMI members to remain underground
by Rahul on Aug 06, 2008 11:46 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE SIMI TO MAINTAIN STATUS QUO AND REMAIN UNDERGROUND. THIS IS A PLOT BY THE GOVERNMENT TO TRACE SIMI MEMBERS ONCE THEY SURFACE ON LIFTING THE BAN. WE KNOW THAT SIMI WAS JUST A NORMAL STUDENTS ORGANIZATION AND WAS NEVER INVOLVED IN DESTRUCTIVE ACTIVITIES, BUT THERE ARE SOME ELEMENTS IN OUR SYSTEM WHICH CANNOT BEAR THE FACT THAT AN ISLAMIC ORGANIZATION IS DOING SOCIAL WORKS. THEREFORE, PLEASE TAKE CARE AND DO NOT RE-GROUP FOR SOME MORE TIME.

Media's role
by Thn on Aug 06, 2008 02:50 AM  Permalink  | Hide replies

So media is in to making money after publishing these kind of articles. "How does SIMI works"?

So, then you know how you can create your own SIMI or extend it.

Media never heard of word "responsibility".

You have more responsible media in developed countries. Care to check out and compare quality?
