Its a shame that people of Maharsatra have made Raj Thakre as their leader now. It is very difficult to believe, remembering the icons that like Shivaji Maharaj, Jothiba Phule, Bal Gangadhar Tilak like leaders used to come from the state in the past.

what is raj thakrey, his ambition is cherished by media. Mejority of Marathi people are against him & it is a political stunt made by sharad Pawar as he is the mentor of him, Sharad Pawar wants to devide the votebank of Shivsena/BJP.
I am a Marathi speaking Maharashtrian and proud about the heritage of Shivaji Maharaj. Precisely due to this reason, I am angry that certain anti-social forces are violently attacking press by taking the name of Shivaji Maharaj. The tone of Mr Ketkar's article is sarcastic but the questions he has raised are genuine. When most areas of the state are facing acute power shortage and there have been so many suicides by farmers, it is a cruel joke by the state government to spend Rs. 250 Crore on a memorial. The proposal can certainly wait until the power and agricultural situation of the state improves. A proposal to build the memorial while neglecting the acute problems of common people is an insult to the King who kept people's welfare above the personal luxory.
He has a strong basis to his historical findings as with many other hindu right facts, just like all the others about fast growth of Muslim population etc. He dreamt them.

Taj Malah was actaully Tejomahalay Shivmandir..... Fattehpur Sikri was also built by Hindu dynasty....

Shame on you, Chatrapati Shivaji is not a name you can call any which way. learn to respect your own people. This is what few political leaders have done. They tried to capture great names for their own profit. they are not limited to any state or person, They belong to India. They are great kings.

Thackerays are have become terrorists. They are terrorizing people in Bihar to stop celebrating holy hindu festival Chatt Puja. They should be hanged till death.
Why our friends start this conversation, why its my state your state. my question is people who are talking bad about UP Bihar or Maharashtra dont have any relation with the Indian states. Do you think those other states whom you are calling bad are not your responsibility? What about the word India? Is this now just a word in front of the states. Who cares if you want to live in your state only. Who need India if he asked for local identiy. Clear thoughts in Indian mind...Missing
