He worked to secure Kashmir's release. Kashmir did not keep quiet and thus created problem for Burney. But Burney's problem pales next to Sarabjit's. Hopefully Sarabjit will be spared the gallows. What a strange way to treat Burney once he arrived in India. Pakistanis are upset with Burney. I thought Indians would be nice to him.
MEA officials got jealous because burney succeeded where they couldnt. In fact this shows that all of the IAS/IPS/IFS officers are nothing but a bunch of exam superstars but fail completely when it comes to negotiating or doing anything substantial. All these officers are nothing but "Chaddi" Pehelwans and IMHO should be fired. No one should be fast tracked just because of educational qualifications. The GOI policy of recruitment must emphasize promotions, accountability and lateral movements. This present policy of resource management in a country that has potential unlimited resources to be tapped.

I can say within otherwise no one would have dared raise their fingers rather than killings innocent as mentioned in the Koran they should have taken only the combatants in the battle field like the Soldiers of Us and Europe back in India like sanghis
