1. 52% of Judges and Temple Priests must be from OBC.
2. 29% Judges and Temple Priests must be Dalits and Tribals.
3. Remaining Judges and Temple Priests must be from other castes & religions.

.....So,
Government of india should reserve Presidential post to any of terror outfit, otherwise they will bomb blast presidential palace. Also, it is only one post, cannot accomodate all communities???. This one solid reason is enough for terrorists to claim such rights????.

It is impossible to impose such rules. Only on some ones dreams it might have been happen. If it was introduced fearing violent/terror threat / casteist votebank politcs etc then India will loss its value and may successfully compete with other nations in all the way.

Gujjars & the problem
by suresh roy on Jun 04, 2008 11:03 PM  Permalink

Its the congress to be blamed for all these kind of civil disruption of national life. Congress in all these 60 years have been hell bend on dividing the Hindus into many groups by calling them Dalits, OBCs & then adding fuel to the fire by making reservations.

Now our nation is paying for Congress's folly, all these Congressmen who have divided us are the worst type of communal baaaasssstards.

Population control, not reservation, is the solution
by Ram Sharma on Jun 04, 2008 09:01 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Population growth and consumerim r the real problems of the country. Degrading status from OBC to ST is not a solution. Even reservation is not a solution. More population means less to share causing more problems.

The population of undivided India was 33 crores in 1947. Now only India's population is 105 crores. World population in 1900, 1950 and now is 0.6, 2.5 & 6.25 billion respectively. The land is same and all other natural resources r getting reduced. The population growth has meant polluted water and air, depleted sub soil water level, depleted forest land and extintion of many plant and animals. The prices of essential commodities have increased.

Population is increasing more in some states than others, also many Muslims do not adopt family planning. Govt also no longer encourages family planning for reasons best known to them.

The only solution is forcefully applying one child norm on the lines of China, who started it in 1979. Had China not adopted this policy, there would have been crores of more people on the earth by now.

Population of developed nations has stabilized. It is time the same thing happens in other countries.

Consumerism gives rise to pollution by increasing per capita energy consumption. Rich people all over the world r mostly responsible for this. Except fresh air, pure water, house and cloth, all other requirements r artificial.

Take strong action against the selfish Gujjars obstructing normal life
by Ram Sharma on Jun 04, 2008 08:54 PM  Permalink

Take strong action against the selfish Gujjars obstructing normal life. They r definitely not Adivasis, so should not b degraded to the status of ST, whether it was promised by BJP or not.

Nation being held at ransom
by Surya Kanishka on Jun 04, 2008 08:35 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

What a shame of the Indian Systems. A caste holding the nation at ransom ! with both central and state Govt's doing nothing. what will be a guarantee that some other caste or religion would not do this again.

I remember the red square of 1988 why the Indian Government cant do that ??

ONE CAN UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS NOT PLANNED DURING MANDAL COMMISSION. BABRI MAJID PROBLEM WAS THERE SINCE THE BABAR INVADED INDIA. THERE WAS COURT CASE SINCE THE INCEPTION OF CORTS AT INDIA. THER WAS LOT OF EVIDENCES BABAR DESTRUCTING A HINDUS PLACE OF WORSHIP INCLUDING AT AYODHYA. AND SO ON.. THERE WAS TEMPLE. IT WAS DESTRUCTED BY SOME ONE (BABAR). SO DESTRUCTING SUCH STRUCTURE(BABRI MAJID) NEED NOT REQUIRE ANY HISTORICAL PROOF ABOUT RAMS BIRTH -UNNESSARY ARGUMENT. AFTER THE INDEPENDENCE, PEOPLES ARE SLOWLY THINKING ABOUT THEIR OWN PROBLEMS AND GATHERED BEHIND BJP DURING 90s. WHO HAD DESTRUCTED IS NOT THE MAIN THING HERE. EVERTHING CANNOT BE BROUGHT IN PUBLIC AND DISCUUSED. EVEN SO CALLED CORRUPTED AND USELESS POLITICIANS RULED CONSTITUTION IS HAVING SOME SECRACY WHICH CANNOT BE DEAL OR DISCUSSED IN PUBLIC.

stale news
by brian mendonca on Jun 04, 2008 05:16 PM  Permalink

Your report dated 4 June, 2008 says 'With postmortem being conducted on the bodies of Gujjars killed in police firing, the process of cremating them was on in various areas of the state. As many as 12 passenger trains were cancelled while several others were diverted . . .' The postmortem was dated 2 June but your report on cancelled trains is dated 29 May! How can rediffnews connect two different events on two different dates in the same breath? I was booked on the Garib Rath from BCT to Delhi yesterday (3 June). I wanted to know if the train ran. Naturally I assumed your report dated 4 June would give me the latest news - instead I got stale news about the Garib Rath which was cancelled on 29 May!
