Yet another gimick by our scientist to waste money.let them first master the existing technoligy and then go to new technology. When compared with other aircraft, LCA looks far inferior.A lot of hype was given to this project and also it was compared with other world class aircraft.so much of money is spent and yet we have not achieved. It is heard that there are lot of in-efficient people working-this might be due to reservation or wrong selection process.Another reason is also corruption. If we have to make advancement the whole system has to be changed.

Hi! I would like to clarify some things to you. LCA is not inferior in technology, it has one of the best avionics available in the world. The structure is so light and the structural dynamics are excellent that they are nothing less than any world class fighter today. The second thing DRDO has the cream of the talent from the best institutions in the country. If you talk of corruption stay away from DRDO. It is the most precious and corrupt free organisations in our country. Which should be taken as a bench mark for the rest. Nobody should expect an infant to walk and run straight away. DRDO is very young with 50 years of exixtence it is just nuturing in the R&D segment. Give it time, so that we get the healthy fruits. JAIHIND
We spent more than 7500 crore in last 20 years in DRDO.. & come up with few missile yet to be inducted into army... As long as this reseration system is there.. it happens like this... Reservation system put the wrong person on wrong position.... our policy should be Right person at Right place ... who come up with Security to us.... Please raise your hands.. reservation is costly to the nation.. we are loosing money & precious time... we have to come up with surprises for our enemy.. not get surprised...

Except, there isn't any reservation in defence. DRDO, Army, Navy, AirForce, other defence related institutions, perhaps even ISRO don't have any reservations.
Significance of Such organisation ceases due to globalisation & easy availablity of technology. There is no point in investing in such sector where there is no accountability & higher officers are getting benefit from exhorbitant project expenditure.
the exploitation by senior in drdo is upto mark. even in some cases when somebody complaint, he get exploited by other seniors. in the end they live no chance to look for other job.
Firstly, the Defence Research agencies should not be open for discussions. Even their names should be guarded secrets. What they do and what they are supposed to do should not be open for discussions. They should be immunised against all social norms of government agencies. They should not have to make formal proposal for funds. In fact the entire budget allocated should be kept at their disposal. There should be no special cases - reservations, minorities, VIPs, etc. in employment. There should be no political bossing, interference or even accessibility. They should be paid the best wages. Best talents should be captured in campuses. If possible separate Universities, Colleges and Schools should be set up exclusively for defence education and the best candidates should be compulsorily absorbed in services. What is developed, what is being developed and what is being shelved should never be made public. No criticism for failures. Media should not be allowed entry into this business. Media make mockery of everything for paltry sums and mass capture.

I guess this is what has been happening for the last many decades. When there is no accountability, there is no result. Now DRDO seems to be on the defensive. After receiving flak for for almost all its 'achievements' they are pointing fingers. We could not 'buy' technology. After 24 years of 'development' the LCA took flight with GE manufactured engines. And you want to give absolute immunity to such people. Simply foolish.
