When talk is going on about nuclear deal, this Arun has converted it in to communal talk. This person is not patriot He does not respect our Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi, he purposely calls him Mohandas. Such people have no right to calim themselves as patriot. He even does have manners how to talk about elders. Mahatma Gandhi is a world leaders and this person has no respect for him.

D. Goel Pkl. afternoon 12.25pm, Thursday, July 31, 2008. It is very shameful begging for any proud Indian to see our socalled Indian technologists vying with paid lobbymen in the Diplomatic Service of Ministry of external Afairs of India's current Rulers, playing beggars at the doors of IAEA and NSG to be held to let Indians receive pittance from Nuclear Haves , that includes our Northern Neighbours, who can easily veto us ort of these fond dreams. We have not learnt the hard lesson of self reliance or converting Thorium Deposits into Uranium fuel all these decades, and have sought to be patronised by all and sundry Nuclear haves Bomb Monopolists of the world! A sad day for the claimants of the heritage of Indian Science stalwarts like Bose, Bhabha, Saha , Sarabhai of India.,Ramans or Khoranas Chandrashekhars The Nobel Laureates of last Century Shameful indeed. we cannot convert Thorium to fuel without american tech..even our close firend..russia isnt going to help..even china has joined and signed all treaties and sub treaties with usa on this nuclear issue...there is no way out ..we cannot live in such isolation ..45 yrs we have lived in isolation with all these islamic and communist false propagandas that america is bad..but the fact remains they are our natural allies..secular and democratic..so its better to seek friendship..there is no national pride or nationalism in this issue..just petty politics..foolish false pride and petty fears..treat this as an business opportunity and learn fast the tricks of this trade..

Don't always be fool as India is the country who is successfully using thorium without any help and americans are far behind. You are currently underestimates our capablities by telling these sort of foolish things in this forum. We have deployed somany 400-500mw powerstations without any help and we are the only one country which is using and having Heavywater technology in the world and US or anycountry for that matter, is no where near to us. The advantage with this deal is, we can also export it to all and US is showing keen interest on this. Please don't think that we don't have technologies and resources and try to fool people that we are depending on US all the time. Also if this n-deal goes thro, India can export Satellite technologies to any country which gets the US licenced things. We have the remote sensing lense which is far more superier than that of US which uses for their stregic programs. No way we are depending on US except getting this deal done so that we can get uranium for our old reactors.

Srikanth..
False pride leads to sure fall..India is an Victim of communist and islamic propagandas..so India was kept away from real growth all these years..
u speak about Throium..do u know that we do not have any Thorium based reactors which can produce electricity on even an Mega watt scale..
Had we then surely we wouldnt need any body to bend to..about Uranium..let me tell u..we do not even produce 300 grams of it...we do not have any nuclear based uranium or any equaliant of it anywhere in India..all these yrs our so called scientists and politicians ahve fooled us..we get all our uranium from Russia/France ..but now things have changed..none will give us anything without USA approval..u can call it the americans are arrigant or what ever..but the fact is 70% of our so called reactors are idle due to lack of yellow cake..even third rate Australia refused us fuel..while at the same time China gets it from them..man we live in an real world where usa is sole power..all are bending to their dictums..now is the right time to bend..do with some dignity..do not loose this for false pride in our good for nothing scientists or dreamers..this false pride is hurting this nation very badly..pride is good but not at the cost of misery..
one thing i dont understand...y india doesnt make its own breeder reactors and use its abundant thorium.we have to beg for Uranium to the NSG states.
instead of begging NSG(in near future) we should develop our nuclear tech and be self dependant. Then we can supply Th and Nuke tech to devloped nations and make mony.

If we don't sign these we CAN NOT export or import. Since the deal is going through India is already getting export orders from Indonesia, Malasiya, Srilanka, UAE etc for India reactors manufactured in India. India manufactures reactors of capacity upto 600MW at 1/10th of cost compared to European countries. Its a big business opportunity after we sign this agreement

We are in immediate need of energy and doing research on Thorium to use it as an energy source in a cost effective way will take so much of time. Work is still going on, it may take one or two decades to get some positive results on this. Hence we don't have any other option so we are trying to get some uranium.

as per Dr. Kalam, india's research on use of thorium in nuclear reactors is on going and not complete, until success, we need uranium reactors.

we have already done couple to nuclear tests and we are pretty confident about our nuclear capabilities in our arms, now for India to be a Super Power by 2020 as per our and Dr Kalam's dream we need power for the current growth of industries also its always better to take side of powerful nation like USA.

brother,to have nuke weapons to a limited extant helps.neboring states like pak n chin will think trillion times b4 attacking us ...but india dont have(n shouldnt have) ambition to becom a weaponary superpower but a economic s'power.people of this country should live happily at the end of the day...what if we all put our enrgy in weapons but don have food to eat and electricity to lite..
taking side of US wont help.look at china...US cant dictate terms to china cos china is a manufactring super power.china nevr boggs down to US pressure tactics.i dont say india should blindly follow china but dint the truth is what we see 2day.

Ram , Do u know it was with US help china have most of the technologies it has now ? Yes US cant do anything to china but china wouldnt have been in the position they are now without US help .
Let us wish positively that we will achieve the approval from IEAE Board of Governers and the NSG for the India Specific Safeguards Agreement. This will end up the neuclear embargo and the related isolations India was facing for the last 34 years. It is clear that the majority of International community is atleast now feels that this discrimination to India is unjust and that's why they are now ready to support India. As opposition pointed out, ofcourse there will be commercial interests also. But it will be stupid to think that somebody will supply us the neuclear fuel free of cost or with out any agreement to meet the international norms. The achievement of this step will give India far reaching positive results with the advancement of our own neuclear research programmes simultaneously with the best utilisation of the latest technologies which were not exposed to us due to the embargo.
Beyond the narrow minded political interests, let us think about our country. If we achieve anything, it will benefit the whole country and without taking risks, we can never achieve anything. India is a strong and largest democratic country which stand on its clear strong principles and values, and is respected by world civilizations.

I will tell us Arun why Gandhiji rejected this Temple building or re-building programme..
Hindus form majority of this nation..they are rich enough to fend for themselves..reason this out..while the Muslims then were the low caste poor of India..they were literally begging..so thats the reason why he did say that..
then the leadership of this nation and the governance of this land vests till date with the Hindus alone..so its the common man who is Hindu who is deciding what is best for this nation..in simple words..if the Hindu has lost faith in his own land..and has no national pride..then who is to blame..u ur selves..u have elected leaders who do nothing for u..BJP never gave u guys Ram temple..nor uniform civil code..nor could amend the Indian constitution..so who is to blame..u ur selves..tyr and unite ur broken house friends..make peace with ur low caste hindus..abolish quota raj..remove caste based religion..then the hindus can unite and seek self determination...if not islamic forces will disrupt ur daily life and make ur life utter misery...

a brief answer for all questions 85% of hundus in india are divided in their own religion affairs - a family of six member worship for six gods or godess - un touchability is another problem if you calculate all these then you are not in majority and india is not a Hindu country but a secular nation with HINDU, MUSLIM, SIKH AND ESSAE which is mentioned all the time in national anthem - remove these communal feelings from your heart and work for a better united India (Jai Hind) if you are young then read history of India where you will find muslim rulers coming from across the borders rule this nation and most of them were muslim and they have given full respect to all religion - India got independence from British just 60 years ago and today entire population is divided in to religion and forget the major responsibility of developing the nation. today we have no water todrink, no electricity inspite of a rich resources - you are creating a way for corrupt few individuals to devide in the name of religion and eat all the national resources - did you ever assess the expenditure on various developmental affairs, it is approved in assemblies, parliament and when it come at the stage of utilization only 10% is left for the project and 90% sent to foreign bank of policitian and they know how to devide and rule the nation like briton did in past - THIS IS THE TIME FOR YOUTH TO WAKE UP AND MAKE GOOD EFFORT FOR DEVELOPMENT OF NATION RATHER FIGHTING IN THE NAME OF RELIGION. But it was many decades ago so its time to move on .I agree with u one thing that british were the ones caused the division between indians ,i believe that before them there were no communal problems .

Arun, this we all know from ages, but say with the proud that we Hindus are Napunsak,as we all devided in cast.we never united.so by cast we are not in majority then why to crib?first be united, then only we can solve all the problems which you have highlighted. we always think in right direction and in practical do nothing.others are not good thinker but do all the things.can we all take the responsibility to teach the lesson to the govt.in coming elections and find the answers ourselves.

Secular fool...
Bush runs America based on American policy..not on his party policies..surely not on Islamic sharia..
America is Indias Natural ally..secular and democratic..far far better than any of Indias neighbours or islamic nations..
we have much to get from USA..very less can we give them..its natural for the sole global king to be arrogant..so lets get our work done..think business..not petty party based propagandas or islamic propagandas..
isolation from america has not helped us..45 yrs were wasted in this ..the nation suffered..the majoity suffered..
