Ajit I agree its quite easy to abuse... what ram you can abuse, krishna, ganesh, christ etc. afterall its your mouth.
Quit simple.. a criminal sees everybody as a criminal.. and a mother sees every child loveable.
Fortunatly I actually don't need somebody's certificate for my love and faith of my god Ram.
Well, for the negotiations and diplomacy for your beliefs you can carry on, but not at the cost of my faiths and monuments, please develop, flourish & enjoy but demolishing our faiths and monuments is not the only answer for that?

Sri Ram is a Avatar of Bhagavan Vishnu for HIndus, and Ram Setu is Hindus and Bharat heritage. YOu as chrsitian, as shown by your name, have little regards for other faiths heritage. Do you allow to destroy Christ's heritage in Jerusalem to be destroyed? Apply sense. It is not about, BJP. It all about faithful Hindus. BJP is the only political party cares for Hindus. Congress has become rabid anti-HIndu organization. We Hindus shall not allow to destroy our heritage. Either anti-Hindu Congress will stay in the country, or we Hindus will stay. We Hindus are on the path of Dharma, and victory is for dharma always.

Seen some Indian Muslims with the photographs of a mosque demolished for re-construction by the community in South India, for fund raising. This group which wants to collect huge amount of money, made the propaganda that "This Masjid was destroyed by the Hindus & wants financial help to re-construct the same". See, how some of these Indian Muslims were going against the Hindu Community with totally baseless allegations. Look at the anti-Hindu mindset ? All Indians, irrespective of their religion must know what some idiots are doing to defame the nation and people!!

Alternative route for Ramasetu
by krishankarora on Jul 30, 2008 05:24 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

I strongly believe that the Central Govt is very serious in finding an alternative route to have BOTH the Samundara project as well as Rama Setu. Now I also request the Central Govt thru this column to find a way to provide shelter to the travellers going to Amarnath too. By doing this two big religious problems will be taken care of.

BJP will object to this as well and if no alternative route is found, then please prepare for Ram Sethu Yatra. The great BJP opposed reforms in 1991 talking about swadeshi, self-reliance etc, and again opposed nuclear deal in 2008 by joining hands with anti Indian pro Chinese left.

only two persons in BJP support reforms Vajpayee and Yashwant Sinha, rest are all politicians who have no ideals and can sway either way to suit the mood, eg is Advani in 1992 he undertook Rath Yatra and demolished Babri Masjid creating a whole new problem which is continuing to this day, then 15 years later he talked about Jinnah being secularm just to show that he is a progessive liberal. Only the congress as a party is committed to reforms.

You are right about BJP. But wrong about congress. It was the congress GOVT which ruled for more than 40 years. They were the cause of lot of backwardness , corruption of democratic process for just being in power. You are spot on about Advani. Tha old B**d is a Sindhi first, refugee HIndu second. BJP as initiated by Vajpayeeji was the best thing that happened to India. The minute this bugger entered it he screwed it big time.

Nobody is stopping the development of TN. The project is being projected as if a cure for every ill. This is not economically viable and it will be a shipping route used by a few ships only. It will become useless like Veeranam pipes during the previous govt of MK. Thousands of crores are being poured into this for looting purposes and for hurting Hindu sentiments.

Creation of hindu family values are cherished in Ramayan and lord rama so we love him and emotional about him....we hate wife-snatching and the culprit should be punished.
by SV on Jul 30, 2008 03:26 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Because we love our family culture thats why we love ramayana and our god Rama. One Man - One wife and love it.. respect father.. fight for injustice..

Prayer and story of Rama creates belief in family and love for wife and respect for father, I don't know after wife snatching becoming a accepting trend (then)in the society how many families in peace will survive. Husband-wife culture is a holy knot dignified in the ramayana and to fight for your estranged wife(by force) is a right thing.

It does not apply in modern world and it did not apply in the times or Ram either.
Ok ram set an example and a very good on, but how many follow that example these days.
In our fathers and grand fathers times yes( again not fully there were plenty of divorces and men going for another women girls were sold as cattles) and it still happens.
Let us move forward, Ram sethu does not serve any purpose lying under water, but it should be respected. If possible brought over water line for all to see.
An alternative should be found,I dont think it will be a difficult task.
It is just at present the parties who are not in power are making an issue of it and and using it for there own cause.
Work together and surly there will be a way out.
perhaps a bridge with Ram sethu brought to surface and then the basin dredged to deepen it.
yes there will be extra cost but it will be worth it for now and future generations.

Many experts have concluded this would be an economically unviable project. The money invested in this will be a waste. This is being promoted basically for self interests.

Ram Sethu - Alternate route
by asha datar on Jul 30, 2008 02:54 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

It is a sensible move. All over the world countries try to protect their old monuments. It is world heritage. Even the British did not think of breaking it. Why should we ? Are we not proud of it ? Its creation is mentioned in Ramayana and it is really there !

So, it we Hindus job to save our heritage and dharma. We must unite and remove this anti-HIndu Congress. Unless we Hindus unite and fight against anti-Hindu Congress, our future is finished. Spread the news about significane of Ram Setu to all friends, relatives and civilised people.
