Waht's the definition of a monument? It has to be aman-made stricture of historical importance to the nation. Anything that people consider scared is not a monument. Is Ganges a monument? Why are BJP supporters lacking in basic sense of logic and common sense?
Some have commented: first they say he did not exist and now they say he destroyed it. Simple. The govt said Ram or Ramsetu is not proven historically. But in people's faith, Ram exists, based on Ramayana. and the same ramayana says Ram destroyed it. Actually, waht it shows how we are on dangerous grounds when we allow govt decisions to be dictated by faith and myths. Because for every version of one myth another contrary can be sited. That is the pitfall BJP theorists should realize.

SuddhaAdvaita (500 yrs Old) is Vaishnavism.
Sakthism, Saivism and SMARTHAism are Advaita (= Vedas And More than 2500 yrs Old).
Softness of Con-gress has its Roots in MKGandhi's philisophy and Logic which is in turn Based in SuddhaAdvaita. Actually, The (Mis)Interpretation of Ahimsa by MKGandhi was a Ridicule of Advaita as he was a Fanatic SuddhaAdvaiti who envied Advaita.
This Sonia govt. under the guidance of anti Hindu God DMK's leach, says that Ram Sethu is not a national monument while admitting that Sri Rama was there and He built it but falsly stating that He destroyed the same. But that disputed structure at Ayodhya where no single prayer was held was a sacred structure and the muslims have religious sentimental attatchment to that structure even at the cost of Sri Rama's temple.
I do not think there can be more blatent admission of this Congress govt. of its anti Hindu stance to apeace the vote bank.
I hope the people of India will see the true colour of this party.

We should refer Valmiki Ramayan which is the authorised Ramayan. Others are modified. Valmiki never told Ram destroyed Ramsetu. Having around 80 crores of Hindus, their country which is called Hindustan, in front of them that Congress govt is going to destroy Sri Ram setu, it shows how Hindus are united and how Hindus are devoted to god!!

The pope dies and we declare a 3-day mourning across the country!!! None of the western countries declared a 3-day mourning! But we arrest our highly respected holy man on the most auspicious day and put them in jail for no reason. All these are done in the name of secularism! And now "Ram Setu" which is core to many Indians ... is not a historical monument for the UPA! This is really an outrageous attack on the sentiments of the people! If we want to stop this ... then we all have to voice our concerns. Please choose the appropriate forum to do so!

I agree DMK and Congress wants money from builders, only DMK and COngress has a share, that is why Ram Sethu near Rameswaram is not a national monument. Today, the library in UP where Nehru had affairs with women is considered natioal monument.
